Perhaps like a plate with ice walls, or maybe an infinite plane where many more “ponds” with land exist. Researching Antarctica and reasons why it’s so off limits has lead to interesting discoveries. I don’t know exactly what we’re on,but I am confident it’s not what they’re showing us. I won’t be able to answer everyone’s questions in length, but I know if you research even just in YouTube the information out there is amazing and life changing.

No rotation.
Have you ever seen a rocket blast off into space?

I fear this might be a troll-thread.

Respectfully, mariners have been observing the curvature of the earth for centuries. Christopher Columbus himself even discussed it. When the ship goes out, the hull seems to “sink”, then the masts, then it’s gone.

Reasonably accurate measurements of the spherical Earth’s size have existed since ancient Greece (based on the trigonometry of the sun).

For a six-foot-tall man standing on the beach, the horizon is 3 miles away (distance to horizon changes based on elevation).
That means if a similarly tall object floated out into the water, it would appear to start “dropping” after it got 3 miles away from him. At 6 miles, it would drop just out of view.
You don’t need a super-expensive set of binoculars/telescope to see this.

I’ve flown to Japan - continuous water/land under me the whole flight. I’ve flown to Israel - continuous water/land under me the whole flight. No voids.

The Earth is not flat.

You mean special planes dressed like rockets that land in the ocean after flattening out at a distance out of our view, yes. You can too, if you want to look for those videos.

The “space” vehicles that re-enter are bogus as well, also available for your viewing on the wonderful Web.

Thanks for your post.

I would also point out that we have numerous technologies that involve satellites orbiting a spherical Earth. Just to name two: satellite radio and GPS.

These technologies WORK. The GPS satellites are generally accurate to within a few feet of telling me where my van is as I drive along.

Again, these technologies assume a spherical - not flat - earth. If the earth was flat, they shouldn’t work!

Videos have been made showing this boat theory. I encourage you to challenge what you “know” and watch the average person showing you proof that the boats are at the same level, different distances away.

So what you’re saying is, the machine I watched blast off into outer space wasn’t real? OK, I’m done.

I can point out to you every GPS tower around you. Satellites are bull. Ever see any real pictures of earth and not a cgi or composite? I know this is hard, it’s the greatest deception of our lives, but if you do the work yourself rather than take Bill Nye (a Disney actor) for facts, you will find truths.

You watched it enter space? I seriously doubt it. There are plenty of videos out there to debunk this. Are you really unwilling to look into this for yourself. Yes, machines can go up, and eventually they flatten out and you cannot see them. This happens way before they’d reach “space”.

Have you never been on a plane and seen the curvature of the horizon? Sailers centuries ago knew of the roundness of the earth by seeing the top of the rigging before seeing the bulk of the ship. And one needs to ask: what would be the possible benefit or advantage of NASA or the government misleading people into thinking the world is round if it is really flat? Why would they do that?
Follow the money. Tax dollars, billions (also another commenter have a great lengthy answer that included that it would mean there is a creator and we DO matter more than some insignificant speck in all this abundance of ‘universe’)

You know you’ve got to replace the tin-foil hat every now-and-again, right? The beams it shields you from eventually decay it. And it works best if it’s cone-shaped, and not wrinkled. Wrinkles in the tin-foil let some of the beams get through. 👍

We all choose to live our lives based on what, we know, believe, and experience. When we die, we will come to know what is. I am happy to find answers before then, so I can live the rest of my life confidently.

The problem with being on principle unable to accept or trust the word of others until you’ve seen it for yourself is that, if one truly lived this to the hilt, one would be unfit for human society and die within weeks.

In fact it is eminently reasonable to live as if what the vast majority of people agree to be true is indeed true.

Sure, absolute gainsayers might ultimately be right 0.001% of the time but the benefits of going with the crowd on most matters I suggest far outweigh the consequences of being deceived.

Even a stopped watch is correct twice a day but am I going to wear it all day long?

So flat earthers may be right cos I have never been up in a rocket myself.
However that sort of “doubt” is not going to stop me from taking a plane to London or Shanghai or Deli because they may not actually exist.

And of course the fact that flat earther have jobs that do pay money, drive cars that do take them to where they have never been before and eat food that doesn’t poison them…all suggests they agree with the principle that what works for most people does work for them too.

Therefore flat earther are in fact hypocrites and inconsistent for suddenly not wanting to trust society when it comes to the spherical nature of planet earth 🤷.

Tax money in the modern sense is a relatively recent phenomenon. Where was the money when ancient peoples deciphered that the Earth is indeed a sphere, or those mariners who saw ships slowly disappear on the horizon? For Columbus, the money was in India, not in his knowledge that the Earth was round. So, how has this conspiracy passed from ancient to modern man? What is behind and what is the point?

I realize there are no real images of our Earth.
You could not be more wrong in your realization. Refusing to accept reality is not a sign of personal integrity or an ability to keep calm amongst a storm of dissension. One may just as soon say that there are no such things as lightbulbs, despite the preponderance of evidence available.
Then you should comment and read on topics you care about and not antagonize free thinkers:thumbsup:
Ah, yes…“free thinkers…” the term that is supposed to give blanket legitimacy to one whose opinions and ideas are in direct contradiction to those more learned than themselves. Failed a test? Blame it on your teacher who doesn’t appreciate the fact that you are a “free thinker” who doesn’t believe in staying within the boundaries of conventional wisdom. 99 out of 100 are wrong because you simply know you are right. Good luck with that. 👍

Hey tim, find an authentic picture of the earth. Should be thousands, one that isn’t cgi or a composite . Sorry you can’t wrap your head around it. If it’s not something you’ll look into, move along, let someone else explore the idea. Go write on another topic where you feel you can contribute something of value.

Wow…you cut me to the quick! I honestly don’t know where to look on the internet for a picture of the Earth. :hmmm:

Tell ya what, why don’t you provide an authentic picture of the flatness of the Earth and then we’ll have a starting place for discussion.

I don’t believe we’ve been to space, and cannot pass the firmament. If you believe we did, and there are pictures, I’d like to see them. My original post states, I know there is reason to believe the earth is not how it has been shown to us.
