Can you proved this event ever happened? If you do not have documentation then it is nothing but a rumour.

Mature debate stands on verifiable evidence.
I will try to get the documentation without interfering with her privacy.

Official church teaching also is the treaching of one pope is as good as another. Pope Paul the 6th’s action with my friend is done and a closed matter. It can’t be changed.
Again, without proof of such a thing this is hearsay and not evidence of anything.

There is no Church document that claims or states that a Severely Physically Disabled and Transgendered Girl cannot serve as a Youth Minister. Also, you know absolutely nothing about how I live my life so do not lay claim to what you believe my lifestyle to be unless you are willing to state what you claim about my lifestyle. Also, as I have not undergone Sex Reassignment Surgery and never will, my being Transgendered does in any way affect my ability to serve as a Youth Minister.
This would need to be dealt with on a case by case basis and to be determined by the pastor of the parish.

No one has a right to serve in any ministry of the Church.

I would be very careful in allowing you to serve in such a position but this would need to be decided by someone who knows you (the pastor).

Living in a situation that causes scandal would disqualify you in my mind and the mind of most.

This is not as clear as same sex attraction, unless that is there also, but it is something that a pastor may have a concern about and the scandal it may cause.

Again, no one has a right to serve in any ministry of the Church.

You over estimate me in a certain respect. I do not have the imagination to pluck made up stuff from thin air. Because of having to put my nose to the grind stones all my life whether it be work or schooling, any imagination I ever had evaporated because it was never allowed to be used or excercised. If I needed to make something to prove something I couldn’t, because I don’t have the imagination to comeup with something to make up. Imagination evaporated with my short childhood. Everything I say I got from somewhere.

Thats why I limit my involvement in church to going to Mass on Sundays, holydays, and a few extra days also. The main function of church is to worship God, and to want to gt anything out of it is selfish. As said by Fr Dennis Morrow the pastor of the parisdh I beelong to in Grand Rapids St James. thats way I avoid all the fights, and bickering at church. Even though I just go to Mass and the only thing noticeble in my slow transition is my hair, I have gotten static over my hair already. Iv’e kindly reminded them I don’t need their approval for my persona. Not real here at CAF, but in other places around me I hear whining and sniveling over people not getting ivolved in church, then You get someone like Maria who want to volunteer, and they whine and snivel even worse. No wonder people are leaving the church! In my transition my appearance is going to change over time, most noticebley the hair. If it gets to be where I can’t go to Mass without bad looks nad nasty comments I just might leave too. I come to worship, not be a part of the “club” or be bashed either. I admire you wanting to do good Maria, but maybe its time to let the people wallow in their mire, and just stick to going to Mass.

Now, awhile back, when asked about qualifications, etc. you admitted that you were NOT a youth minister but volunteered in some capacity.

Which is it? Are you paid on the pastoral staff of a Parish as Youth Minister?

This is not as clear as same sex attraction, unless that is there also.
Maria did say in another post that she is bisexual. Presumably that means that she is genetically male, living as female and attracted to males and females. There have been media reports that the Catholic Church is anxious to exclude homosexuals from becoming priests - even if celibate. I don’t know if that is correct and whether that will also apply to holding other posts in the Church. Or even if it will apply to religious orders such as monks and nuns.

I never said that I was not a Youth Minister. I may have said that I volunteered but that was simply so that you would not make the situation more inflamed and waste your time on a frivolous crusade as you claimed you would. I was a paid Youth Minister before I resigned and I have applied for paid Youth Ministers jobs at other parishes as well as volunteered at other parishes.

The problem with what you say is that there is no scandal. Also, you have not offered what you claim. Another thing, it does not matter what sexual attractions I have because I am a virgin and will remain so for the rest of my life.

You are correct in your assertion.

P.S. Thank you

From what I have read in this thread, you are a male, living as a female. You also said that you lived with your boyfriend. Under those circumstances, there is cause for scandal as the Church sees it. It matters not that you are celebate or a virgin. It still leads people to presume there is a relationship outside of wedlock, thus scandal.

Well, I’m a girl no matter what you think, I just have different genitalia than most girls. Also, now, I live with my ex-boyfriend, not my boyfriend. I have chosen a relationship with Jesus and I broke up with my ex-boyfriend out of love. There is no scandal in the eyes of the Church for I accept the Catechism, Scripture, and Dogma and I do not falter. Since Doctrine is ever changing, I accept what makes the most logical sense. Presumptions are pointless and a waste of time and energy, so I cannot fathom as to why individuals have them.

So, we never know WHEN you are lying and when you are telling the truth.

Did you not say that you live in a situation where there (at least the appearance) of opposite sexes living together?

All I can think is what you have told us thus far on this thread. Sorry if I have not understood what you have said. If it is different from my statement, let me know where I am wrong.
Also, now, I live with my ex-boyfriend, not my boyfriend…
And that is cause for scandal, regardless of yours/his sexual orientations. If there are people who knew you where boyfriend/girlfriend, boyfriend/boyfriend, etc, there is cause for scandal.

Sorry, educate yourself on what the Church teaches about scandal and you will see otherwise.

Most people don’t presume anything that you don’t say or show them to be reality. If you are a male living as a female, with an ex-boyfiend, there is MUCH reason for people to presume. In doing so, they may sin, thus scandal on your part. Leading others to sin is part of the sin of scandal.
