Please join me in wishing www.diesdomini.com a happy birthday//launch date (on Monday). I cannot recommend this site enough. It goes in-depth for those “in the weeds” junkies like myself. Inquiring minds want to know, and www.diesdomini.com has the answers.

I also visited www.sda2rc.com this weekend and found out it has really been spruced up since my last visit. (It was nice before but there are lots of new additions). I like the new links and graphics. (or maybe I just couldn`t view them before on my old, slow laptop!)

Both sites fill an important need, and they are worth visiting on a regular basis. If our Adventist friends would like to discuss an essay or article in depth, let`s open a new thread and let the discussion begin.

The developers of both sites deserve our heart-felt thanks, and continued prayers, for fulfilling such an important need.

The Beginning Apologetics Series by San Juan Catholic Seminars, in #2, How to Answer Jehovah`s Witnesses and Mormons (by Father Frank Chacon and Jim Burnhan) also touches on Adventism. It illustrates what Adventism has in common with Mormonism and JWs and gives a great explanation of “soul sleep” and why it is not true. It also refutes the Adventist (and Mormon) belief that hell is temporary. It also discusses other similarities.

I highly recommend it.

I may need to start a new thread on “Resources FOR Adventists Family and Friends.” But in the interim, I will post this here. I am reading the book Where We Got the Bible; Our Debt to the Catholic Church. I first heard about this book here at CAF and it is one of the most excellent, and easy to read, books I have read. It debunks a lot of myths that some Adventists mistakenly spread about the Church and the history of the Bible.

I will start a new thread on it when I finish the book. I will be buying this book for family and friends.

I saw yesterday a great program I wish all of you could have seen.

It explained the beast power so clearly, I don’t think many of you could deny what was being said.

I wish I had had my streaming video recorder installed so I could have captured them.

Maybe I will later if I see it again.

And btw…Seventh-day Adventists are made up of every religion, including many many former Catholics and other religions. Just as with most religions, that is how SDA’s came to be in the first place, and it is how they continue to grow as more and more people come into the truth.

We are all brothers and sisters.

It’s not the name that matters, its the message.

SDA’s don’t hate anyone anymore than you hate anyone…well, at least I hope none of you do 😉

They are just preaching directly from the Bible and it’s prophecies.

Many more to come, will come to see past the lies many are teaching these days and finally find the truth.

The mission of the SDA church is to seek out those who aren’t in the truth so they may be saved.

True followers of Christ hold no grudges or hateful feelings against anyone.

We love all of you!!

I will continue to pray for the Seventh Day Adventist, I will pray that each and everyone of them will come to find truth and find the motivation to research their beliefs and the real History of Christianity.

Dear Goitalone,

It is the false SDA message we Catholics have a problem with. If you like, I am happy to discuss that on a different thread!

We Catholics love our separated brothers and sisters in Christ too and look forward to welcoming our separated brothers and sisters back into the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church is the Church founded by Christ.

I respect Adventists as individuals and respect their devout faith. I pray that the Holy Spirit will guide our brothers and sisters home soon. Because I love my Adventist brothers and sisters so much, and because I don`t want any of my fellow Catholics to be deceived, I started this thread.

I do not wish any of you, my brothers and sisters, to be decieved by false teachings or a false sabbath day, but to experience especially the blessing of the true Sabbath day and true biblical teachings, of the Bible

The Sabbath will be the final controversy, that will bring about the end of this sin cursed and deceieved planet.

The true Sabbath of the 10 commandments, or the one changed to Sunday by the RCC.

I’ll take the real Sabbath 😉 How about you?

For now though, I invite whosoever will, to watch the TV stations I posted earlier for some great programming 🙂

I prefer the Christian Sabbath also known as the Lord’s Day (sunday), the Day Christ resurected, we Christians do not prefer the Day the Our Lord became very dissatified with.
 
And we prefer the real one He rested on and was raised only after it had passed. The one that the disciples refused to finish embalming His body for due to the Sabbath approaching and waited til Sunday to finish.

Dear Goitalone,

For Catholics, there is no controversy! We have the Word of God, both oral and written, as taught to us by Jesus, passed down to us by the Apostles and and protected and preserved, uncorrupted, with an unbreakable link from Jesus Christ. As Catholics, we do not have to “go at it alone” because we have the Church that Christ established to guide us. And as Jesus said, the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I believe Jesus is not a liar!

I am happy to address Adventist doctrine on a different thread. For those wishing to learn more about Adventism, from a Catholic, or non-Catholic perspective, the resources on this thread will help them do that.

I feel sad for my non-Catholic Christian brothers and sisters because they only have part of the truth. I want them to know all of God`s word. It is too beautiful not to share.

Now, lets continue to pray that all of us will go closer to God each day, and that we will do His will. And, lets keep this thread on track. If you wish to debate, please start a new thread. (or better yet, do a search!).

Yes, of course I am, what other Sabbath is there that is the TRUE AND REAL Sabbath day? None.

The Jewish Sabbath is EVERYONES SABBATH, the ONLY Sabbath…the Sabbath of the 10 commandments that the RCC CHANGED and admitted to changing!

The RCC Church’s Sunday sabbath is the sabbath that Satan changed through the works of the men of the RCC…

Perhaps the boldest thing, the most revolutionary change the Church ever did, happened in the first century. The holy day, the Sabbath, was changed from Saturday to Sunday. “The Day of the Lord” (dies Dominica) was chosen, not from any directions noted in the Scriptures, but from the Church’s sense of its own power. The day of resurrection, the day of Pentecost, fifty days later, came on the first day of the week. So this would be the new Sabbath. People who think that the Scriptures should be the sole authority, should logically become 7th Day Adventists, and keep Saturday holy.

You missed the point about the old covenant being fulillfed by the new covenant. If you wish to debate Saturday versus Sunday, it has been done many times before. Please refer to previous threads on the topic or start a new one.

Your logic is circular. Scriptures cant be the sole authority since the Bible did not drop out of the sky. It was compiled by the Catholic Church. Again, if you would like to discuss theology, please start a new thread. Dont hijack this one.

I will be praying for you and for all my Adventist brothers and sisters. Some of my closest Catholic friends, who inspire me by their faith, happen to be former Adventists. Adventism is often one stop on a long journey leading people home to the Church that Christ established.
