Resources to guide a searching protestant

HI. I have a protestant friend who is searching for the true faith–and he doesn’t attend his own church btw as of now–and seems curious on knowing more that I feel the Catholic faith has the answers he seeks to. Can anyone here recommend some books or articles for my friend to read that will gently introduce him to the faith in the basics of theology, as he feels like a “lost soul” and is sensing uncertainty with his relationship with Christ. Thank you so much.

I would recommend “Catholicism for Dummies” and “Born Fundamentalist…Born Again Catholic”. Then “Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist”.

Yes. An excellent introduction to the faith - one that may be relied upon for years to come.

Invite him to Church and let God do the talking.

I will echo what one poster said…invite him to mass. And I will add one more…if there is a perpetual adoration chapel near you…invite him there, even to spend 15 minutes in from of the Eucharist…or let him experience a Benediction service…as a sort of introduction.

Books…Perfect Joy of St. Francis…it is short enough to get his feet wet.

thanks everyone for your great ideas. He is really worried I think about his spiritual satusstatus, like it’s over his head a lot when we talk. He’s anxious and has nobody else to help him, so I sense God put me in his circle of friends to reach out a as a practicing ractiing Catholic to do this. I never really did this before–helping a protestant like this–but I guess there’s always a firsttime.
