‘‘My position doesnt affect you’’ is a canard and a boring trope.

You hear it a lot in the same-sex ‘‘marriage’’ debate.

What do I do when someone claims that their harmless interest in looking at child pornography doesnt ‘‘affect’’ me? Should I mind my own business just because it’s not my child?

What if I responded to those TV ads showing starving Africans by saying ''their starvation doesnt affect me…dont push your charity views on me!’’?

Would the USA still have slaves picking cotton if the South said…mind your own business.

It’s funny how the same people who demand the right to say or think or do x, y, z, are often the least tolerant of other groups demanding tolerance for their own minority ‘‘x, y, z.’’ position.

I’m wondering what to say when homosexuals say (knowing I’m against gay marriage) “don’t push your beliefs on me! I’m not hurting you, so let me live how I like!”

As opposed to: Don’t give me facts that I don’t want to hear.

There’s a difference between telling someone that they are doing wrong because you have a particular religious belief (not just Christianity) and explaining to them that what they are doing is actually harmfull (to themselves or others).

If the homosexuals that you know are complaining about your beliefs, then they have a good case. Maybe if you wanted to convince them that they are doing wrong, you would need some good reason, other than specifically religious beliefs, to convince them.

If you have any, then try them out here and we can see if they stand up.

I see moral relativism is your god. Apparently because some items exist they are axiomatically “good” and must be forced on others. Sounds like Nazism to me.
