it depends of which priest you go to. i bet you can get different answers.

if she asks a priest who support lesbians and gays and women priests, his answer will probably be different from an Orthodox Traditional priest.

:ehh: uhhhh, no the EF. never uses laity in the Sanctuary…whatever the situation. We’ve had two new priests in our parish this year, both said their first Mass…the Traditional Latin Mass…here. The Church was packed, as was the parking lot. Still, we got by without having the laity in the Sanctuary. Amazing, isn’t it.

It is. i went to a Latin Mass, it was a small Church but the priest had 4 boys as altar servers. that is amazing. there is no shortage of altar boys in teh Latin Mass as far as i seen.

Like I said earlier, saying things like “Did the Holy Ghost tell you Himself” get you nowhere. It’s really immature. I’m going to start ignoring posts like that.

The point I was trying to prove was that the Church originally taught before Vatican II that praying with people of other religions was wrong. Perhaps you don’t care, but that doesn’t mean others don’t.

Nice one liner. St. Paul argued in Athens at the Acropolis at the altar to the unknown god, that the same God they worshipped he was now proclaiming. (Acts 17:22)

With all your intelligence, surely you realize I was emphasizing that not all Jewish people and theologians are believers. I was trying to point out that the people to whom you referred as experts in their field are not necessarily making that leap of faith which is beyond the explanation of science that you and I, as believers, are making here.

I’m not discounting them, I don’t know them, I making an observation. Although anecdotal, because I can’t prove that with links.

You pulled one quote out of context and belittled me.

I surely hope you display more respect to your students than you do to the people here who take issue with some of your personal opinions.

I’m sorry – it was merely a light-hearted response to your insulting insinuation that my Catholic priest and lay academic colleagues might be atheists. Nothing more was intended than my light-hearted reply, and I hold no grudges!

I never insinuated that your Catholic priests were atheists. That’s a contradiction in terms. Some of your lay colleagues may be atheist. It’s a statement of fact. Why is that an insult? If they are atheist, they can’t make that leap of faith.

I hope you are more understanding of your future priest students if they take issue with any of your sources.

He is no fool, but he is simplistic. That is why I do not look to YouTube for guidance and truth. He makes a good point, but misses something, as must all video commercials.
