(Have parents always used the “think of the starving children” guilt trip to get their kids to eat nasty food? . When I was little, it was “Think of the children starving in China.” When my mom was a girl, her mom told her to, “Think of the starving Armenians,” who my grandma apparently saw wandering through her part of Europe after the Turks drove them out.)
