Good question. With all the self-professed threadkillers who have posted here, it many be a case if too many cooks in the kitchen.
 
Err…no, I do not like meat pies. Fruit on the other hand, definitely.

I suspected that it was Johnny Depp. Creepy is right up his alley.
 
I think “eccentric” is his thing in general. Sometimes that makes him creepy (e.g. Sweeney Todd), and sometimes that makes him hilarious (e.g. Jack Sparrow). Granted, sometimes he just comes off as weird like in The Corpse Bride, but that was more of a voice acting role.
 
I have watched some of his movies through the years. He sometimes pairs with Tim Burton, who is into weird, so not my flavor.

I really like The Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride. That’s sort of gotten me to at least keep his more gothic and/or eccentric films in my backlog. It also got me to look into Laika, which led me to two of my favorite films of all time, Coraline and Kubo and the Two Strings.
 
Edward Scissorhands is about the strangest movie of his that I have watched. I don’t have any interest in his stranger movies.

My mom is from western Pennsylvania, and when she moved to Orlando, everyone made fun of her for saying things like “yinz” and “worsh”. She trained herself to stop saying either, but did pick up saying “ya’ll” and never lost that.
