Bishop Hugh Gilbert of Aberdeen has praised the new Holy Father ahead of his inaguragtion Mass tomorrow, and called on Scottish Catholics to recommit to their Faith and leave dishonesty and bitterness of recent crisis in the Church in Scotland behind.
Like Pope Francis, Bishop Gilbert began his vocation in a religious order, becoming abbot of Pluscarden Benedictine Abbey prior to his Episcopal ordination and elevation to the Bishops’ Conference of Scotland.
