And, no, Mr. Hannity did not respond to my request to meet after the interview, nor has he revisited the issue in any way since that time. I still pray for him and hope for his conversion. What I hope and pray for even more is a total return to fidelity of all Catholics to the Truth on the critical issues of life, marriage and family, and the sacrificial commitment that alone will bring America out of its moral decay.

I remember watching the interview.

I remember reading Father Euteneur’s comments about the interview.

For some reason, I thought Fox, Inc. had made Father Jonathan Morris a Fox News Analyst in order to amend for this interview on the ‘Hannity & Coombes’ Show, but I after reading Father Morris’s letter to Hannity and Father Euteneur’s letter to Fr. Morris, I see that impression I had had no basis at all than wishful thinking.

Hannity’s behavior and demeanor towards Father Euteneuer on the program was shameful and disgusting; in my opinion, Hannity is a loud-mouthed, savage and rude man who bullies Catholic priests on his TV show.

I wasn’t aware of Father Euteneur’s offer to meet with Hannity privately.

Why wouldn’t Hannity meet with Father Euteneur privately?

I don’t know why Hannity, his staff and FOX producers would want to make this matter the subject of a prime-time segment on ‘Hannity & Coombes’.

I’m kind of glad they did, because the segment, to me, exposed what type of person Hannity is and what FOX News is all about.

I did watch Fox’s coverage of Pope Benedict’s visit to the United States with Father Morris and one of the priests from the Christophers.

But that is the last and only time I have watched the Fox Network during the last three years.

I happened to watch a few minutes of our local Fox station, WJBK-TV Fox 2 Detroit, for a few minutes a few weeks ago.

I watched about 5 minutes and a Fox news reporter said there were “anti-abortion” signs being put up around the Atlanta area, and used the term “anti-abortion” a second time.

Then they talked about someone from ‘American Idol’ fame who wanted to make a porno film; the whole broadcast was really disgusting, and I turned it off.

Fox Detroit had an openly homosexual lead anchorman who worked at the station for years, Charles Pugh; Pugh is now a member of the Detroit City Council.

Fox Detroit also showed reruns of the 1970s-80s politically and morally liberal show ‘MASH’, which ridiculed the United States Military and glorified fornication.

In my opinion, Fox is not a morally conservative network.
 
You must not be misled into the view that Fox News is an American patriotic news organization. Fox is owned by Rupert Murdoch, who is a Jewish businessman, whose Zionist interests allows him to share board memberships with many unsavory characters ( including the Rothschilds ). These are documented facts. These people have no interest in American poltical polemics. As long as they are collecsting huge advertising fees they care not from Glenn Beck to Mother Theresa…as long as it turns a quick buck. They laugh at the schmucks who take it so seriously. Sad, but true. Please wake up.

It is a shame that you feel that way about Fox News Just because of the actions of one of the personalities on one program. That is kind of Like judging the Catholic Church by the actions of one of it’s Priests.

As a Pro-Life Devout Catholic who fully believes and follows all the teachings of Mother Church, I find Fox news to be the most comprehensive and balanced news network out there.

This was one of the many reasons I stopped watching Hannity or listening to his radio show. Sean never lets the person get his opinion in without some sort of other example that is irrelevant to the topic.

Sean needs a lot of prayers.

His show seems more about one person yelling louder than the other, arguing more forcefully than the other, and getting the last word in before time runs out rather than about having an honest discussion about what’s going on in the world. I might agree with what they have to say, if they would say it politely, but their conversations are not intelligent discussions- they are nothing more than verbal boxing matches- and whether or not I agree with them, I cannot respect them as serious journalists, or political commentators.

I would have to guess the a national program like ‘Hannity and Coombes’ is not a two man operation.

I would think Hannity and Coombes each has some sort of research staff; there is usually a program producer and director; all of the stuff they show is most likely discussed at a programming meeting, and most likely needs approval by the Network Manager or one of his subordinates.

If I was the station manager, I think if the host of a news discussion program told me he wanted to his beliefs about birth control and how they conflict with Catholic moral doctrine with a Catholic priest he had received complaints from, I would have said no and told the guy to discuss it privately over the telephone with the priest.

But the show speaks for itself: Hannity obviously got approval from other Fox staff to go ahead with airing this on the Fox network.

I think one can reasonably conclude that this was the case.

Hannity didn’t apologize to Father Thomas Euteneuer.

If Hannity didn’t want to apologize, Fox’s Network manager or station manager could have apologized on his behalf.

If you folks want to go on and continue to watch Faux:) News; that is your decision.

However, I think the Hannity incident, and the manner in which my local Fox 2 Detroit station operates raises enough negative bells and whistles that I will never watch Fox again unless Sean Hannity publicly apologizes for the way in which he treated a Catholic priest.

I have watched a lot of TV news, both liberal and conservative, and as far as TV News is concerned, and that includes ultra liberal organizations like the BBC News and PBS’s News Hour, and I have never seen a Catholic priest on any television news program treated in such a hostile, rude, offensive, and degrading manner as I did on the ‘Hannity and Coombes’ program, on a so called “conservative” newtwork.

When Sean Hannity or Fox, Inc. issues an apology to Father Thomas Euteneuer, I will reconsider.

But I will not watch local WJBK Fox Detroit ever again.

The five minute news segment I recently watched was enough.

With regard to WJBK Fox 2 Detroit, I actually called them twice and complained about their openly homosexual lead anchorman Charles Pugh and broadcasting the MASH reruns, and they never did anything about it.
 
I don’t know what Fr. E was told that the subject of the interview would be, but this interview made both him and Hannity look bad. Hannity’s shouting is bad, but he asked a valid question which Fr. E would not answer. This was comparing contraception with abortion. This was a valid question. I don’t know how anyone would make these equal evils. If Fr. E had been addressing an all Catholic audience I’m guessing that he would have equated them. Why would he not answer this question?
