The norm for reception of Holy Communion in the dioceses of the United States is standing. Communicants should not be denied Holy Communion because they kneel. Rather, such instances should be addressed pastorally, by providing the faithful with proper catechesis on the reasons for this norm. (I HATE cut-and-paste debate)
Looks to me like the priest is OBLIGATED to provide proper catechesis on the reasons for the norm.
So, if someone is provided “proper catechesis” after insisting on kneeling, and they continue to insist on kneeling…seems that they would be willfully rejecting said catechesis.
OR, you are saying that the GIRM is WRONG, which would be hilarious, as it is used on so many other posts and threads as an authoriative source…![]()
Yet Rome has stated --full freedom to kneel, are not to be imposed upon, charged with disobedience and/or of acting illicitly. **You **have done just that.
