Apparently, noone is. 🤷
I am thinking you are correct, and despite the GOP having a perfect situation to regain the White House, the candidates they are choosing (Romney and Gingrich and Paul) tend to make Obama look good.

I see no path for Obama to lose when you have the likes of Romney and Gingrich and Paul as GOP front runners.

I will be interesting if Gingrich survives his second wife’s “expose” that will be released shortly before the SC voting takes place.

I never thought Gingrich was a valid candidate. He is the best brain of all the candidates, but he seems to have a lot of anger in him.

Of all the GOP candidates, Santorum is the best–but he is too Catholic for this nation.

And when you have the knowledgeable electorate, too many of whom are so filled with class envy that they cannot see beyond their nose.

Maybe its for the best. Then states that had any sense whatsoever can start to peel away and regain control of their sovereignty and dignity.

Indeed. One day people will understand that they need the one-percent, I pray it won’t be too late.

It might be interesting to those who wallow in such stuff, but the country has too many problems to be worried about an expose by ABC. After building up Romney the MSM has now set out to destroy him and anyone else who comes along.

Yes, and it no longer matters that he won Iowa, extremely few care.
Agreed - NOW. When Romney won (even by such a small margin) it was a huge story - weeks later the fact that he actually came in second is virtually ignored.

Yes, especially since it was Santorum that he lost to. Our culture has such a short attention span…

I´m glad Perry´s leaving the race. Any of the original 8 or 12 are better at turning this country around than Obama. The most important reason for voting for the right candidate is… can he beat Obama. South Carolina will decide who that candidate is and I will support whoever it is. The candidate that wins South Carolina will win Florida. God bless:thumbsup:👍👍

Re: Rick Santorum.I heard or read somewhere that he is in favor of abortions in cases of rape and mother’s life being in jepordy.Anyone else heard this? I find it hard to believe.Jeanne

It seems only a miracle will bring about a Republican win for the White House this time around. Do you believe in miracles? 😉
If God wants it to happen, it will.

Romney might choose someone like Mark Rubio as a VP choice, and then the numbers game gets real interesting.

The real cloud on the near horizon for the GOP is the economy. Everything I have read and heard is that 2012 is going to be a very good year for the economy, which is great for regular citizens who need jobs, yet very bad for the GOP chances.

Wrong thread. There is a separate Rick Santorum thread

*“Do we consider a child that may not live long, or may have an abnormality, to be less of a child? Is this less of a human because it is not perfect? Have we reached the point in our society where because perfection is so required of us, that those who are not perfect don’t even deserve the opportunity to live for however long they are ticketed to live in this country? Are we saying we need these kinds of infanticides to weed out those who are not going to survive or those who are not perfect, and that somehow or another we have to have a method available that we only allow perfect children to be born? If that is the argument, I am willing to stand here and have that debate. If that is what you want us to show, I am willing to stand and show that.”
—During a debate on the Senate floor with Hillary Clinton over the partial-birth abortion ban on March 12, 2003

“That would be taking a life, and I believe that any doctor that performs an abortion, I would advocate that any doctor that performs an abortion, should be criminally charged for doing so.”
—During an appearance on Meet the Press, June 2011.

“You know, the U.S. Supreme Court on a recent case said that a man who committed rape could not be killed, could not be subject to the death penalty, yet the child conceived as a result of that rape could be. That to me sounds like a country that doesn’t have its morals correct.”
—At the 2011 Iowa straw poll debate

“The reason Social Security is in big trouble is we don’t have enough workers to support the retirees. Well, a third of all the young people in America are not in America today because of abortion, because one in three pregnancies end in abortion.”
—At a GOP primary debate in South Carolina, May 2011

“The Hyde Amendment allows rape, incest, life of the mother. That is the common ground we could get, and I would support that.”*
