Rick Santorum is getting so much hate

I don’t need a crystal ball. Honestly, he has a “foot in mouth” problem. He will never carry the black or latino vote.
His comments re: birth control are legendary, and do not impress women. No woman is going to vote for a man who wants to take their birth control away. Being able to get Iowans and evangelicals to vote for you is just not enough.

But I’m still glad he is running. He will just make it easier for HRC.

Terry Schiavo is just one incident. Yes he did fight for her. There are many other issues I am concerned about.
 
Rick lost my vote when He fell for the “Bruce Jenner” trap.

This demonstrated that
  1. He is not media savvy enough to handle the presidency.
  2. He is not smart enough to avoid the quesiton.
  3. He said two different answers depending on who he thought was listening (He gave a wink and a nod answer to a Christian news source shortly after)
Nope, the guy may or may not have the values we need, but he is not sharp enough or savvy enough to be president. He would harm the conservatives more than help them.

Yep - just because I support Catholic teaching about birth control doesn’t mean that all Republican women support it. That’s just being real. For most mainstream women, the birth control debate has long been over and the fact that “Ricky” Rick keeps harping on it just shows me how out of touch he is. Outside of the Catholic community, I really don’t know a single soul who seriously insists on using NFP instead of contraceptives. I just can’t take him seriously. What century does he believe he’s living in?

The thing is that Rick actually came really close to defeating Romney in several states (by less than a 1%), so that’s why he thinks he has a chance. He was the “viable alternative” to Mitt after all the other challenges rose and fell in the polls.

And Republicans tend to like the “next in line” - which traditionally would be Rick, since he was the last one left standing next to Romney.

However, this primary is different than typical years. There’s no really “heir apparent” or “front runner”, although a few of these guys are trying to claim that mantle (like Rick) and the media and political establishment are trying as hard as they can to push Jeb Bush on us. (Thanks, but no thanks)

I don’t think he’s a bad guy. I just don’t think that he should be President.

At least he didn’t fall for the “Josh Duggar” trap the way Mike Huckabee did.

I don’t think Santorum is “electable” but I certainly don’t think he deserves “hate”, either.
