My kid, who is stationed in Turkey, told me that there were pictures of riots regarding the Pope’s visit plastered all over the newspapers there (she doesn’t read Turkish) and the military folk were advised to be esp. careful because of the situation. This does not seem to square with reports seen here in the USA. What gives?
