Loving God,

We lift our prayers and intentions for the healing needed for our friend Rocket in his time of need. Please bless and keep Rocket and send capable and competent medical professionals into his life. Please comfort Rocket and his family and help him to benefit from his treatment, in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. We know that you love us and want the best for us, please grant peace and strength to Rocket at this time.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.

Update: Met with my Oncologist last week and we agreed on the following treatment:

25 external radiation treatments over a 5 week period and then the radiation seeds implants.

I’m meeting with the radiation doctor on June 6th to set it up.

Update: Met with the radiologist yesterday and his staff for 3+ hours. It was a good meeting. Did blood work today and a CT scan on Monday to set things up. I’m raring to get started.

Rocket’s intention is in a daily Rosary on behalf of fellow cancer patients. His intention was placed before our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament today. Amen.
 
Divine Healer, nothing is impossible in your hands! Your unlimited mercy and love are our source of hope. Please, if it is your will, grant Rocket the necessary healing, his family the protection, comfort and patience

Update: CT Scan went well. They tattooed me with three freckle sized dots for lining me up for the radiation. I will be going through a dry run on June 24th to make sure everything is lined up OK, then I will begin radiation on June 25th for 5 days a week for 5 weeks. After a short period the radiated seed implantation into the prostate will occur. I remain very optimistic.

O Holy Patroness of those in need, St. Rita, because thy pleadings before thy Divine Lord are almost irresistible, and because, thou hast been lavish in the granting of favors, thou hast been called the Advocate of the Hopeless and even of the Impossible. St. Rita, so humble, so pure, so mortified, so patient and of such compassionate love for thy Crucified Jesus, thou couldst obtain from Him whatsoever thou askest especially:

a successful round of chemo for Rocket

Because of your power, all confidently have recourse to thee, expecting, if not always relief, at least comfort. Be propitious to our petition, showing thy power with God on behalf of thy suppliant. Be lavish to us, as thou hast been in so many wonderful cases, for the greater glory of God, for the spreading of thine own devotion, and for the consolation of those who trust in thee. We promise, if our petition is granted, to glorify thee by making known thy favor, to bless and sing thy praises forever. Amen.
