You are an expert on your own opinion! You have zero evidence that Mitt Romney was ashamed to release his returns. You have zero evidence that President Bush was either not invited or ashamed to come to the Convention. You are wrong on both counts.

It’s funny people are so concerned about what Mitt Romney does with HIS money but not concerned with what Obama does with OUR money. As to President Bush, had he attended he would have been welcomed with open arms and standing O"s. A few years of Obama has truly improved his image!

The only image at the RNC I saw of GWB was the backdrop when Condi Rice was speaking. There was no mention of him except by his brother, Jeb, who was indeed invited for his good work on education in Florida. I would go so far as to say Jeb Bush should have been the nominee of the GOP (in 2000, 2008, and currently) rather than Romney, despite his obvious association with the Bush legacy, but I’m not so sure he would have passed the ultra-conservative hurdles. He lacks the chameleon character of Mitt.

Bush was invited, but declined. Another made up hit by Epan.

Posting in forceful, terse terms only works when you know what you are talking about.

Why is the concept of “capital gains” so hard for you to grasp? Go look it up, and stop cluttering the board with your falsehoods. He doesn’t earn “income” like you or I. He makes his money off of investments. You might as well complain that he doesn’t pay the same state income tax rate as people in Oregon. Even though he doesn’t live in Oregon. For someone who acts so “smart”, this is pretty basic stuff.
It isn’t that smart if it’s put inside of an IRA and he ends up paying ordinary rates on it when he cashes it in. I don’t know for sure this is the case, but just saying.

Meltzerboy, why do you think so many are unemployed? Is it because they lack job skills? Suddenly in 2008 the job market changed dramatically and all those people who were employed then no longer have the skills to work? Really?

Obama’s policies have kept unemployment historically high. Obamacare, Dodd Frank, his votes on the Keystone Pipeline, the plethora of new regulations all contribute to a paralyzed economy. Those have nothing to do with skill set, training or education. We have well educated college graduates who cannot find jobs. It’s not a matter of lack of skills it’s a lack of growth in the economy.

The problem is in the White House.

Things stay historically worse during Obama’s presidency, and people will still defend Obama. If you are voting because you dislike Romney, I can sort of see that. But what economic successes can anyone defend Obama on? I still don’t get that.

I honestly don’t know what all the fuss is about over this video. Like it’s really a surprise that this is what Romney really thinks? His whole economic theory is based on taking money from the “moochers” and giving it to the “achievers”-very Randian.

As opposed to Obama’s plan to take it from hard working achievers and give it to the lazy moochers? Yes, that’s quite accurate.

haha… yes, I am an expert on my own opinions. in other words, i know myself. are you saying that you don’t know your own mind? i’m not sure what your message is meant to be.

i don’t give a twit romney with what he does with his own money. i do care whether is is honest or dishonest. this is not a boiler room sales job he is applying for.

You shouldn’t be concerned with how Romney spends his money, however, you should be concerned with how Obama spends yours…

Can you post without calling names? Maybe that flies on Methodist Answers, but on Catholic Answers, we really try and avoid that sort of childishness. Thanks.

My only caution is to make very sure you know exactly who those “moochers” actually are before you condemn them. But, I guess it doesn’t matter as long as you get to keep all of your money, right?

blood, tears, sweat of the brow, rugged individualism, blah, blah blah. . . . .

mine, mine, mine.

Apparently, you missed the video of both Bush presidents:

No matter though…you can keep sharing your “only image” story, if you think it furthers your meme.

Oh please. What is he money is he taking from the poor and giving to the rich? How ridiculous can you possibly get?

That’s classic. You’re the one who used the term moochers. I just mocked your post by flipping it around, since your hyperbole is so ridiculous. If you don’t like the term, why did you use it?

You said the key phrase: “your money”. It is indeed our money and we have legitimate concerns over where it goes.

Because it’s the word used by Ayn Rand and Romney’s opinion is very much like hers. I assumed you had read her work and were also a fan of her philosophy since much of your posting seems supportive of it.

Honestly, I find the whole thing hilarious, it’s my day off and i’ve been enjoying forums on both sides all evening. All the outrage and defiance! They don’t call the campaign period “the silly season” for nothing. :rotfl:

It’ll all be over in a couple more months, and my day to day life won’t change a bit no matter who wins and chances ae most other people’s won’t either.

The post is nonsensical. Romney is not taking money from people of lesser means to aid the wealthy. Kind of reminds me of Obama’s ridiculous statement to business owners: “you didn’t build that”. Oh, yeah?

I wouldn’t be so sure about that…

I’ll be here Nov. 7th- can’t wait. . . . 🙂

Romney’s not doing well at this point.
Romney’s going to win and win big. Obama knows this Hes just tryinh to keep it closer than Carter. Ill be here Nov 7th I doubt if you will be.

I hope you’re correct, even though I’m not a fan of Romney.
