So I’m planning to go to a Rorate Mass tomorrow, my first one. I’ve been to a number of TLMs, just not Rorate before. Sounds like a lovely tradition, and while I will have to get up at 4 am on Saturday to get there, at least the traffic will be much lighter driving to the church than it is when the Masses are held during the day or early evening and it takes me 2 hours to drive 30 miles.
Anybody know if I’m supposed to bring my own candle? I do have a small votive candle I could use. The church hosting this Mass has not provided any information other than it’s a Rorate Mass in honor of Our Lady for Advent, the name of the priest celebrating it, the Mass intention, and the time.
