Blending private devotions, like the rosary, with the public prayer of the Mass is not supposed to happen. The rosary and other devotion prayer is not supposed to be blended in to the Mass.

You can reference Marialis Cultus by Saint Pope Paul VI for the proper way to think about Marian prayer during Mass

Active participation’ is somehow, since the 1960s…
This Is historically very inaccurate… the liturgical movement promoting a more engage congregation was active at least since 1880… and the reform of the Mass was decades and decades in the making

More engaged congregation as in the congregation knowing the Latin responses proper to them—as the documents of Vatican 2 themselves called for—and in fact, knowing more of the Mass itself—the TLM.

NOT more engaged in more talk and motion.

I suggest that a phrase I used ad nauseam (that’s Latin by the way 😇) when my kids were growing up applies here, namely: “it’s not a bad thing, it’s just not the better thing.”

They were being ordained. I would hope they were participating. If they weren’t, then there is no such animal as Apostolic Succession.
