Pray the rosary as often as you can! There is certainly nothing wrong with what you described, OP.

Venerable Fr. Alfred Pampalon, CSsR actually recommended that one pray the rosary while going to sleep. He said that if perhaps one should die in one’s sleep, what better way to go out than in the middle of praying the rosary?
This was how a friend explained it to me once - it doesn’t replace my normal routine, but I do often say it before bed when I’m being plagued with the stresses of my day.

I always try to pray my rosary while looking at an image of the mystery that I am focusing on. This enables me to focus on Jesus and Mary, on their facial expressions and I can really feel as though I am there. I have a book about Mary and also a rosary booklet with illustrations that I carry with me in my purse at all times.

Hello. 🙂 The rosary is a private devotion, so it doesn’t really matter how you do it. However, if you intend to gain a partial indulgence from saying the rosary, I believe you cannot “break-it-up.”

I hope you find a way to make the rosary more fun. 👍

God bless you. :blessyou:

P.S., I love the rosary! 🙂

No worries…I prefer the direct relationship with Christ. I ask people to pray for me but I don’t pray to them.
I know where you are coming from and that is okay. I won’t worry about your relationship with Christ because that is between you and him.

Personally, when I love someone as much as I love my Lord and also want to be part of His family. I love Jesus and I love being with both Him and His Mother. I try to see Jesus through her eyes of love.

I think that the way that you are breaking up the decades of the rosary to say a full rosary daily is a great accomplishment!

I have found that an easy way for me to complete the rosary in less than 30 minutes is to tune into a show entitled the “Holy Land Rosary” hosted by Father Pacwa on EWTN every morning from 7:30 a.m. EST to 7:51 a.m. Each day he explains each individual mystery of the five decades of the rosary and he does so with a backdrop of ancient historical sites of Jerusalem and Nazareth for example. It really helps to focus on each of the mysteries. The show is on daily covering each one of the mysteries. You should give this a try sometime.

God bless,
Kathy
