Hi, all!
I was recently given a hand-me-down Rosary, and I’m not sure what the scene depicted on the middle medal could possibly be. There is an archway with what looks like Mary in the middle, with a figure on either side of her (or statues?). Behind and to the right, there is a building that looks almost oriental, the way the roof is drawn–or could it be a basilica? Convent? I’m not sure. Then, in the upper left corner, there is a pine tree.
On the flip side of this medal is a depiction of both sides of the Miraculous Medal, which leads me to think the scene may be that of a saint. The only one that I’ve considered is St. Martin de Tours because of the pine tree, but I really don’t know. It looks like Mary under the arch, not a male saint.
Also, it appears to be a relatively old Rosary–it’s sturdy, but tarnished and it’s quite lovely. But I have no idea what this medal is depicting!
Thanks for any insight anyone can provide! And, God bless!
