lol; lots of things are “illegal” try saying the pledge of allegiance in a classroom

that is “illegal” in the US

I have a car rosary hanging from the rear view mirror. I have used it occasionally. I like to see it there as a reminder that God rides with me always. Yes, it does swing a little sometimes and I find myself touching the cross as if to keep Jesus from danger. 😊

I don’t pray in my car, but left to my own devices I am an agitated driver. Looking at the rosary hanging from my rear view mirror has prevented more than a few road rage incidents. Even just a half-second’s reflection on the crucified Christ has been known to immediately calm me.

I have a rosary bracelet with large blue beads hanging there, not a rosary. The crucifix hangs about 1 inch below the mirror.

now that (using cell phone in car) i try to keep at an absolute minimum

but the swinging rosary ring doesn’t distract me at all

perhaps if one is prone to seasickness, it might

at any rate it is wise to avoid contact with the traffic police by not speeding, keeping a safe distance, etc, etc

I’m not talking about you as an individual. A swinging item on the rear view mirror is considered a safety hazard by the experts and that is why the law was passed. It is irrelevant if you think you don’t find it a distraction.

Rosaries in cars are tacky.

And besides, didn’t Jesus say
“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
