Hi

There’s going to be a rosary on the coast in England in April this year. I’m just wondering if any of you fellow Brits will be attending this and where?

Also reminding the rest of you to get your rosary beads out that day (Sunday April 29th) and do a couple of extra rosaries.

Our lady said, through the rosary and the scapular I will save the world.

Hers a question I’ve always wanted to ask. Do people in the C of E pray the rosary?

I’ve never heard of them praying it, seems to only be a Catholic thing.

I’m going, or I plan to go, but not in England, in Wales! It’s a UK wide event not just an English one

Some do. They tend to be ‘high church’ types. The previous vicar in the Anglican church opposite our church apparently prayed the Rosary with some of his congregation, he used to wear a cassock too.

It’s my understanding that Anglo-Catholics pray it and that some C of E use a similar prayer rope with Our Fathers. My favorite rosary vendor sells the Anglican “rosaries” in addition to Catholic ones.

As a USA person of mostly UK heritage and a registered solicitor in England and Wales, I’m happy to pray a Rosary along in solidarity with you Brits. Is there a sign up page or social media event page to calendar the day and time?

I was in Scotland last September. I’m a 14th great grandson of James IV and went to see the old stomping ground. It was amazing! Driving the highlands was challenging, though.

They have their own version of it. I’ve found them when looking online for rosaries. If I remember correctly, theirs are divided into 4 “weeks” (7 beads).

Just googled an article on it, but haven’t had time to read it yet.

That’s very interesting. I notice it seems devoid of any Marian devotion. Thank you for the link.

I am very interested in more information about this march in England. There was a Rosary On The Coast in Ireland this year. Is it a coincidence or are they related? It was organized by Kathy Sinnott who has a show on the phone app EWTN.

I was wondering when this was the website is a little unclear on the actual date it comes to my area (Brighton). I know that’s cos individual places have arranged coming down to various different places. I will make attempts to find out when they are in my area and try to go. I did see that a group is coming down from London and will be in Brighton near the pier but it doesn’t say which date, it might be that date you have mentioned the website is difficult to navigate… I will keep looking.

As far as I am aware the Irish one was related to the abortion referendum coming up there.
…And the English one is about?? I have never heard the term Rosary On the Coast until this year and this year I heard it twice. Ireland and England…

Everywhere in the UK is doing it on the same day preferably at the same time. 29th April at 3pm.

They also did it in Poland. I would like to see it in the US.

I will be praying the rosary on the coast on that day in Wales. (The UK isn’t just England.)
