How can one ask for help with things that are going on in their life by praying the rosary, I have recently started praying the rosary so was curious about how to ask for things.

For each decade I pray for an intention. One decade might be for myself and another for my son and another for my grandkids. I usually pray an intention for the Pope, Bishops and priests and for our president and our country on the other 2 decades. If you wanted to pray a whole rosary for yourself you could pray for
your health, your finances, your job, your family and any other intention you might have. Those are just examples.

Indeed. One can offer the entire Rosary, or portions of it for whichever intention strikes your heart. We are intended to persevere, even if our petitions are not immediately answered. it is best to be open to God’s will for our lives and the lives of others. Since we, by nature (concupiscence), oppose God’s will, our prayer intentions may not be answered in the manner we desired or expected.

Just know that God writes straight using crooked lines. In other words, He knows what is best for us when we do not. Thus, our lives may have twists and turns, but through faith and perseverance, we will go from point A (where we are) to point B (where the Lord wants us to be).

I typically do a different intention with each decade. Recently, I have been saying an entire rosary once a week for the life and the unborn. So it’s entirely up to you how you choose to pray- either offering an entire rosary for one thing or different decades, a different thing.

Simply praying the rosary has given me a profound peace. Which reminds me I am overdue for today’s rosary!

“This rosary is for the following intentions: Dear Jesus, Mary and Joseph, please help me with XYZ going on in my life, in Jesus’ name. Thank you in advance. Amen.”

You can add any other intentions you want in the same way as well, such as the Holy Souls in Purgatory, or somebody who’s ill, or world peace, etc. You can have as many as you want.

You can also assign a different intention to each decade if you prefer that.

Its not bad to pray for oneself. I started doing that alot more often. Although my advice is to put your name at the end of your intentions. So Lord may this rosary be for so and so, etc., and please Lord forget me not.

God listens to all intentions, he also loves it when we give up our lives for others, so in a similar way imo we should put our names and our issues at the end of those we all pray for. God will listen to our plea at the end. Just my two cents hopefully i worded it correctly.
