Wow, when all else fails, bring up Islam.
Are you telling me you’re not as concerned about sexual assault when Muslims are accused?
No, I’m saying attempts at misdirection are fundamentally dishonest. I don’t really think you’re interested in debate, you’re just interested in attacking anyone who thinks Roy Moore is a questionable candidate by throwing up completely unrelated claims, some clearly intending to be outrageously inflammatory.

There are a lot of people who accept gossip as gospel.

As someone once said to me, “It must be true because someone said it.”

[Not making that up.]

Nine women publicly accusing someone of sexually assaulting or harassing them is not gossip.

Actually, yes it is.

Otherwise, police would have initiated criminal charges.

Decades ago.

In fact, false accusations are much more common than you might think.

There was a live television program in which an emergency room doctor was falsely accused of sexual improprieties. Fortunately, the entire episode was shown on television and everyone could see that the accusation was false. The doctor insisted that his face not be shown. But since the entire episode from start to finish was on tape, you could see for yourself that it was false.

That is the reason why doctors insist on the presence of a female “matron” or chaperone to be able to certify that nothing improper took place.

Hate to answer a question with a question, but did he?

Also, IF this did happen to him, are you trying to suggest that means Roy Moore is guilty?
You said that to be a criminal, one needs to be convicted. I explained to you that a person is a criminal when they actually commit a crime. My husband was the victim of armed robbery. That is a fact. The person who robbed him committed a crime. I didn’t need to witness it because my husband is honest. His money was taken, and the police took his statement.

He. Was. The. DA.

No unless you bring charges, the police don’t prosecute.

And, they don’t even know each other.

How can these women make up a similar story and tell people close to them the same story?

I wonder if defense attorneys are looking at this thread thinking I need some of these people on the jury because they can’t be convinced of any wrongdoing. Monte and Wee-gi are playing out the gish gallop where we can barely keep up with the misdirection (Clintons, Islam, etc.), taking a small detail and blowing it up so that the whole story must then be false (cop might be a Democrat and we don’t believe Democrats), arguing that if it was so clear, why didn’t he get convicted years ago (because we attack the victims of these sorts of crime) or just plain making up Church teaching to fit their political desires.

I’m having a hard time squaring anything you’re writing with reality, or really even coherency. If you want to throw a bunch of women under the bus so you can preserve the notion that Roy Moore wasn’t a sexual predator, well good for you. And I’ll remember it, too. I’ll remember how quickly all those morality warriors dispense with morality entire when it’s their boy in the hot seat.

The one thing you should remember is that you would not allow a man due process because you have a political agenda.

Thy name = tyranny.

There are ways that can happen.

Once again, this isn’t a trial. Voters are not juries. There is no due process here.

Exactly what due process do you expect in a case past the statute of limitations. He will be judged by the voters who hear the information and make a decision about whether they can justify their vote for a child molester or not.
There are ways that can happen.
The most likely way it can happen is that Moore did all he was accused of.

Watch “The Crush” from 1993 and then tell me you’ll believe it all because woman said so…
