This reminds me of the time that Charles Manson’s supporters demanded that we talk about all the people he didn’t murder and how it was unfair that we define him by his murders.
Well, it is unfair. My nieces, for example, have never accused Roy Moore of anything, and I bet there are lots of young women in the same boat. What about all those women? Don’t their voices count?

Of course, they’ve never met him. . .

23 comments and nothing from the Moore supporters yet…
I don’t know of anybody who is a Moore supporter.

The voters will have to look at the disturbing allegations, determine how believable they are, and then weigh that against the platform that his opponent is running on.

I’m sure there are plenty of women that met Moore that he didn’t try to date or sexually assault. Like 20 year olds.

Is that one of the things they did? I don’t remember that part.

Last night I was watching the news. And I realized why the state of the Republican Party ( which I was a member for a number of years, and I voted for republicans before I actually registered as a republican) is in disarray.

Bannon made a speech supporting Roy Moore and condemning Mitt Romney for not serving in Vietnam by hiding behind his religion.

Um. Trump got deferments from Vietnam for bone spurs, and told Howard Stern that not catching an STD was his Vietnam.

Bannon is a propagandist.

Well. Rosaries are usually Catholic.

I’m not sure Moore has a rosary. And since one of his supporters claimed that Roy Moore was ok to be a lecherous predator of teen girls because St. Joseph and Mary.

Well no. Our Lady is the Holy Mother of God, she’s the Queen of the Universe. St. Joseph is the Terror of Demons and the Most Chaste Spouse of Our Lady.

And that supporter is contemplating on running for Governor.

Well, not to dampen the anti-Moore enthusiasm, but he’s probably gonna win. It’s Alabama, he’s anti-abortion and he loves Jesus, so it doesn’t matter how many women and girls he molested.
There are many (myself included) that didn’t think that it would have an impact on his ability to win. I’d be more surprised if he looses. But win or loose, I don’t think that has much of an impact of the views that wider audiences have on him.

Elections are rarely about people’s views on the candidate personally.

They are usually about choosing the lesser of two evils.

The Repub nominee here has been accused of terrible things. These accusations may be true, mostly true, a little bit true, or completely falsified. The women deserve to be believed, yet the accused deserves to be believed as well. There is no evidence that he did these terrible things, and some evidence that at least some of the accusors have lied.

The Dem nominee is a big-government, pro-abortion leftist…hardly representative of the people of Alabama.

The voters must decide the lesser of these two evils (or abstain).

Much like the choice we had in the last Presidential election. The Repub nominee is a terribly flawed person, however his political platform/promises were refreshing. The Dem nominee is a big-government, pro-abortion leftist (who is also the most corrupt politician to ever be nominated for the Presidency by a major party).

Lesser of two evils…seemingly the voters eternal choice in the US.

Google youtube harry reid lies romney

Well, it worked, didn’t it!

So, in your mind, a child rapist is more representative of the people of Alabama than a Democrat. Nice.

Right election - wrong party.

Fake news , false news, repeated often enough does not equal truth.
For those that believe that Moore told the truth that he didn’t know the women because they follow MonteRCMS’s fake news - he’s lying as evidenced by signing the yearbook of one of the other accusers. So, the big lie is coming from Moore and his followers.

We’ve seen so often in the past year, how those who are quickest to throw around accusations of “fake news,” are also those spreading the most fake news. Following Trump’s lead . . .

Well, we’ll find out next week if the people of Alabama think that a child rapist is more representative of the state than a Democrat, but that was the implication of your poin
An accused child rapist…which the accused adamantly denies, the accusations are 40 years old, and there is no evidence supporting the accusations.

And not just “a Democrat”…but a big government, pro-abortion leftist Democrat.

You keep forgetting those points.

Well, we know he lied about knowing the women and his first response to the accusations was that he always asked the mothers for permission to date, so his denials sound like lies to me, so he is likely a child rapist. But that’s better than a ‘leftist Democrat’, I guess.
