A Democrat who is all for assaulting little girls and boys in the womb,to the extent he supports killing them even right up to the moment of birth.Who would you choose?

So that’s what the bottom line is. Claim to be prolife, you win the prize. No matter how terrible an action you’ve committed.

So pretend Harvey Weinstein ran as anti-abortion, he’s redeemed? How about Roman Polanski?

Yes, yes, we get it.

But what I don’t understand is why Alabama Republican primary voters chose Moore, who at that point had been removed from the bench twice, thus proving conclusively that he was either incompetent as a judge or considered himself above the law, over his Republican and equally pro-life opponent.

What’s your theory?

Trying to maintain some objectivity, I don’t believe that there have been any allegations that Moore is a pedophile. I think attraction to teenage girls is ephebophilia.

Different kettle of fish.

but look the other way when they vote for a pedophile.
An alleged pedophile. Who adamantly denies it. The allegations are 40 years old, and there is no evidence.

And the other option for voters is a big-government, pro-abortion leftist.

You keep forgetting those important points.

The people may have disagreed with the reasons he was removed. The law should (generally) be the will of the people, electing people who disagree with the law is the best way to get the law changed. Maybe Moore was nominated because the people wanted the laws changed.
a child sex predator
An alleged sex predator. But you already knew that, and choose to ignore the rest of the story.

I have no idea I guess you would have to ask them
I’d like to know. My point is that, when presented with two pro-life candidates, they chose the one who (a) as a judge, was removed from the bench twice, and (b) has a track record of hitting on teenage girls. Granted, they may not have known about the teenage girl thing at the time of the primary, although in at least some regions of the state it appears to have been pretty common knowledge.

So, at least in the primaries, opposition to legal abortion just wasn’t an issue. Both candidates were opposed. The voters must have chosen Moore for some reason. I would really like to know what that reason was.

And similar messsges in two different places, a yearbook and a scrap book.

It wasn’t an issue in the Republican presidential primaries either. Trump wasn’t more prolife than any of the other republicans.

The yearbook is most likely fraudulent.

The scrapbook notation is benign.

Same thing with the discordance between Moore saying he doesn’t know one of the women who has a thank you note (or something like that from him). There are many people who have formal qualification/designation/advancement/etc letters signed by me, some of whom I would no longer remember that they worked for me.

Oh, probably the same way Catholics support the death penalty or complain about people on welfare.
I’m personally conflicted on the death penalty. As a flawed person, I sometimes feel that some people deserve to die. But then as a flawed Catholic, I (try to) realize that it isn’t my place to determine that.

Regarding welfare - we need it, but we can disagree on how much is appropriate (ie: safety net or hammock) and who needs to receive it.

I am sure you are not inferring that you support abortion because you sometimes feel that unborn children deserve to die…so can you please expound on how you rectify the differences between your voting pattern and the teaching of our faith?

It says that he is lying, which is a further indication that the charges against him are true.
