I’m running for public office in my local municipality and would like for you all to pray for me.

Should it be God’s will that I be elected, may God grant me the knowledge to maintain my Catholic beliefs at all cost.

May he work through me to reach others in need of him and his word.

May he grant me the strength I need to maintain this office to its fullest while I continue my regular daily duties as a wife, mother, grandmother, and business owner.

God Bless,
Pam

Wow! You are a dynamo for good!
“Amen” to your prayers.
May God, who holds all things together, be your strength and blessing in all you do and are, Pam. God sees the benefits and drawbacks of everything, so may He guide what happens, whether you are elected or not.
Bless you and your family, and all your endeavours,
Trishie 🙂

Hey,Good luck…assuming you are sincere in your comments…the point is getting elected…try to be vague…satisfy as many of the various groups out there that you can…recall Jesus cautioned us to be weary as wolves…be like 'they’he advised! Once you are in you can then vote your heart, mind and conscience…so even if the enemy of Truth start labeling you…'right wing nut…religious right…out of touch etc etc. so what for that one term at least you set an example…use words and phrases like…'I am willing to compromise …once elected I will be part of a team…always use words like…global, green, natural, peace, choice, change, etc…remember the point is getting elected…I used to call my years in nite school (8 long years at nite earning my BA and MA…) my white knuckles times…when I would have to sit and listen and nod to nonsense from a drooling marxist professor sprout his hatred towards America, Christ and all goodness…so what I got my degree and became a teacher and taught the 10 Commandments to my students for 30 years…remember your goal is to get elected…all the best…smile a lot…kiss a baby even one who looks like uncle charlie…N

You’ve got my vote, pyropam! 🙂 👍

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Psalm 110 (111)

Great are the works of the Lord
I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart
in the council of the upright and the assembly.

Great are the works of the Lord,
to be studied by all who delight in them.
His works are splendour and majesty,
his righteousness lasts for ever and ever.

He gives us a record of the wonders he has worked,
the Lord, the kind and compassionate.
He gives food to those who fear him:
for all ages he will remember his covenant.

He has shown to his people the power of his deeds,
he has given them the inheritance of the nations.
Steadfastness and justice
are the works of the Lord.
All his precepts are to be trusted,
they stand firm for ever and ever:
they were laid down in faithfulness and justice.
He has sent deliverance to his people;
he has set up his covenant for ever.

Holy is his name, and much to be feared.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
To those who fear him comes true understanding,
and his praise endures for ever and ever.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

Thanks Phoenix!

I’m running for Mayor…and funny thing is that I have never even thought of running for public office. But…looking at our current choices, when I was was asked by our current mayor to run, I couldn’t turn him down.

I really appreciate the prayers.

Merciful Lord, you have called Pam to serve the civil government. She has bravely stepped up, in a time when such is not often advised. Lord, You have sustained her through her many trials and tribulations, preparing her for the difficult decisions which lie ahead. Graciously strengthen her now with the Heavenly gift of Fortitude, that she may bear up to the rigors of the office, and that she may reflect You first in everything that she does. Watch over her family and provide for their safety when she is called away in the course of this new direction in her life. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Thanks Phoenix!

You go girl! Definitely got my prayers. If I were in your area I’d be sure to vote early and often for you 😉

You all are so wonderful!

Just think…if all candidates would ask for prayer…WOW!

God Bless,

Pam

There should be MORE people like you running for office. You have my vote too. May God give the gift of WISDOM to all who vote that they see how wonderful this earthly angel is and what a difference she can make in their lives. Keep us posted. I’m keeping you in my prayers.

Praying for the Holy Spirit to guide you. God bless you, we need more good Christians like you in office.

I love you all so very much!

You are all true “Prayer Warriors”.

God Bless you all!

Still Praying very hard for you…Keep us posted. If we can do anything for you, let us know how we can help…What is the name of your local newspaper? Loving you in Christ, Diane

Well, I had my “Campaign Kick Off” and we have put this thing in full swing.

God blessed us so much last Friday night! We had an event scheduled in the park and then we got the weather predictions…70% chance of rain! The rain went completely around us and we had a great turn out…about 1500 people I’m told. In a town of only 4800, that is a really good number. We started this event with a prayer by our Priest.

I’m in meetings almost daily…City Council, Chamber of Commerce, Neighborhood Watch, etc…

Please continue to pray for me as I meet so many new people. I ask God to guide me and help me to hear and listen to all the concerns of the people. I ask him to open my eyes and ears and fill me with knowledge so that I may be able to answer them without making promises that cannot be fullfilled.

Thank you all for your prayers.
Pam

Pam, praying for your success. I’m not too thrilled with our Presidential candidates. Are you available for higher office?
