Showing deep faith, people wait 8 or 9 hours to kiss the relics of this saint, one of the most revered saints in Russia.

After being kept for 1,000 years in their place in Italy, they have been loaned to Russia. A bishop who lived in the 300s in what is now Turkey, Saint Nicholas is said to have performed many miracles. He is remembered as Santa Claus because of his habit of giving gifts.

I watched the footage when the relics arrived in Russia and the ceremony. I had not realized what a revered saint he was in Russia. That is awesome. I think St. Nicholas was born in what is now present day Turkey.
