Only kidding since I don’t take any leaders too seriously,but with the personal knowledge which I have, he is without doubt in a different league than most world leaders for a very long time .
He was young when he was in the party communist ,and that he has become a christian shows that he has the courage to stand up when it could have been against him winning power .

This is unlike Churchill who was a murderer all his life and others who are admired because they Wrote History in their favour .

Putin has said of himself “once a Chekist, always a Chekist”. The Cheka and its successors were worse criminals than the SS ever dreamed of being. So, as to his “becoming a Christian”, it might or might not be true. But no true Christian could ever correctly refer to himself as a Chekist.

When did he say that ? It is all relative .All of the leaders bar very few have been murderers including many who are considered heros .

A Russian friend who has a Phd in politics thinks he is doing good work ,and since I hold no illusions about the western leaders I know he cannot be worse than they are

Oh really? How many people have Francois Hollande and Angela Merkel had murdered?

To put a dictator like Vladimir Putin on a moral equivalence with Western leaders it seems you really have to be a consipracy theorist of some sort.

You tend to have an American centric view ,but we are not Americans, so our angle of
reference is different .
I would be happy if much of American culture could be wound, up,as I think it is destructive
to the world in general ,much more so than any thing from Russia is nowadays .

I used the Past Tense . I think Angela Merkel is excellent ,and that Hollande is fairly useless in home affairs ,and slightly dangerous in foreign ones .

And to answer your accusation ,I just know more about history than you do .
Go and read a few hundred books and get back to me .😦

That is why people love the Putin; he is a Bad ***$$ I bet he scored a lot of woman growing up in Mother Russia the dude is defiantly alpha material.

While Russia’s fertility rate is still below that of the US, Russian fertility has been rising while US fertility has been falling.

Oh please.I have seen adults do that thing where they make funny sounds with their mouth on a child’s stomach to get them to laugh. It’s the equivalent of tickling. And sure, Russia is so depraved that a president will get down in public to perform pedophilic acts in front of cameras.:rolleyes: This is the kind of demonization that is apparent to many people around the world. Few are buying it outside the West. The West can no longer pull off that ‘We are the hero, Russia the villain’ act any more with all the crazy moral experiments its been engaged in coupled with the wars it has caused and countries it has destroyed in the Islamic world. You can’t scream murderer when you are seen as the number one murderer in today’s world besides terrorists.
