Conservatives never quit being concerned about Soviet-then-Putinesque attempts to undermine the U.S. The Dems never believed in such a thing and were half sympathetic to communism. Now that the Dem “shoo-in” candidate didn’t win, they have to blame someone or something, and came up with “collusion with Russia”. A year and more has come and gone and still there’s no evidence of it.

So, no, conservatives don’t believe there was collusion between Russia and Trump.

But that’s not to say conservatives don’t think there are pro-Russian trolls on the internet. Of course there would be. It’s a natural, since the internet has become the “literature” of our time. And if it’s so, they aren’t going to be tied to any single approach. Just anything that harms this country or causes division. If I were Putin, I would be supporting the Democrat narrative at this time because it’s divisive and destructive.
 
I suspect Putin only supports the Putin narrative. I wouldn’t be surprised if they pose as progressives and liberals to enflame the right and vice versa. If it ever came down to an actual defensive war though, I think he’d be surprised how quickly we would unite.

Really. Conservatives feel this way. They are concerned about Putin undermining America. But then they don’t care that Trump, Jr. set up a meeting with someone who was presented as a Russian agent that had ‘dirt’ on Trump’s political opponent and two of Trump’s top campaign people attend the meeting, including one that is near the top of the administration. Conservatives can somehow overcome this contradiction - kind of like performing mental gymnastics worthy of an Olympic event.

No contradiction to this at all. Here we have Mueller spending untold millions trying to dig up “Russia” dirt on Trump, or whatever else he can find, and before that the DNC hiring Russian operatives to fabricate a slander against Trump. So some Russian rock star tells Trump Jr that some Russian (unidentified) has dirt on Hillary and Trump Jr, knowing Hillary sold American uranium to Russia for $150 million dollars was supposed to turn it down?
He was supposed to say “Oh no, I don’t want to know about that. It’s okay to sell your office for foreign money.”

Could have been the smoking gun, and if it had been, Trump Jr would be hailed for exposing the corruption.
But it was a big nothing. It cost America nothing. The Mueller “investigation” which is supposedly doing the very same thing, is costing us millions.

It’s called moving the goal post. Trump denies any collusion. When evidence of an attempt at collusion by the inner circle of his campaign comes out, the goalpost gets moved. They were merely looking for information on Clinton, and really they didn’t get anything, so it’s not really collusion, and now suddenly it’s not even a problem at all.

The same is going to happen with revelations that people in the Trump Administration used private email. For a year Clinton has been vilified (and not without justification) for use of a private email server while she was Secretary of State. In fact, it was the chief reason for the whole “Lock her up” chant that was a favorite among Trump and his supporters.

And yet, now that it turns out Jared Kirshner was using a personal email address to conduct Administration business, there’s either silence, or attempts to misdirect on the whole topic.

Whatever you think of Clinton as a candidate, there’s more than enough evidence now that standards of conduct were applied to her that were willfully not applied to Trump and his team. Apparently, when it comes to hypocrisy in the Trump camp; what’s good for the goose isn’t good for the gander.

I know nothing about the content of any emails by Kushner and, to my knowledge, neither do you. Perhaps real information on it will come out sooner or later and people can assess its importance then.

What collusion was that? In agreeing to listen to what might have been the proof positive of Clinton’s selling the country for money when it’s pretty plain that she did, that’s being a good citizen. The Dems are spending millions of taxpayer dollars trying to pin that very thing on Trump, without any evidentiary basis at all, and, so far, without success.

Tell us what crime he committed and give us the citation from the USC and regulations. You won’t, of course, because he didn’t.

And after that, you can tell us how his agreeing to meet with an as-then unidentified person compromised national security.

If one is looking for Russian trolls, one ought to look in the direction of those who are attacking the administration and trying mightily to prevent it from functioning. Putin would be stupid not to promote that, and twice as stupid to oppose it.

When your left defending an action by asking “what was illegal about it”, I think you’ve already conceded the main point. The claim was made that no collusion happened, when evidence of attempted collusion was made, suddenly the question became “and what was illegal about that?” You’ve demonstrated the inherent goalpost shifting that has gone on for a year now.

Are you really saying that being willing to listen to some foreign person who claims to have evidence of wrongdoing is “collusion”, and therefore wrongful? If it is, then congress, the intelligence community, law enforcement and business people are “guilty of collusion” all the time.

Certainly, Trump Jr’s action is not “collusion” in any legally prohibited sense.

Tell us this. If Mueller did the very same thing, would he be guilty of some form of wrongful “collusion”? When Congress wants to hear about the origins of the bogus DNC “dossier” on Trump, is that “collusion”?

The whole “collusion with Russia” thing is nothing but a bugbear generated by the DNC to comfort its adherents and deceive the credulous, and accusing Trump Jr of it is a worse one.
