minimal, just as I am minimalist in spiritualities, since committing to the Benedictine way as an oblate, I no longer go searching after other, equally valid but different ways (we make a promise of stability for that reason). That means commitment to daily LOTH, lectio divina, as well as the regular sacramental life, and Benedictine charisms of fidelity, stability and humility. so I wear my Benedictine cross (the one my brother gave me, which I wore at my profession, has broken long since, so I get a new one from the sisters whenever I need it, about once a year). I tend to get it caught on things and break the chain, string or break off the Corpus, so I don’t wear it if I am doing something active, or I tuck it inside my clothing. I do have the Benedictine medal, duly blest, in my car, on my keychain, and in my purse as well.
my brown scapular has a benedictine medal on it, too, and I wear it a lot, but most of them give me a rash, which gets infected, so I can’t wear it all the time.
I have rosaries the way some people have mice, everywhere. I could put my hands on half a dozen right this minute, keep them wherever I am likely to look for one–hanging at all outside doors, in both cars, in the golf cart, in all purses (matching cases), in home and work offices and desks, bedside, by my living room chair and in my prayer corner. I usually have 2-3 on me at all times for evangelization purposes. They just come in the mail from different missionaries I think.
