I have recently come across many that I had put in storage, do to moving so often. Some of them brought back some special memories and feelings.:getholy:

Just wondering what you wear & why. If there’s a story that goes along with it, share it if you like.

Everybody, have a wonderful wkend!

I wear my wedding ring, a rosary ring, my brown scapular, some St. Benedict medals, a crucifix and a miraculous medal.

When I am pregnant, I also wear a St. Gerard medal to remind me to ask him for his constant intercession. Usually between pregnancies, I end up giving my St. Gerard medal away to an expectant mother who does not have one.

a Brown Scapular…it’s helped me through a VERY hard time in my life and I just feel naked without it

My friends ask “what is that thing?” and I just say “oh, it’s just a prayer that I wear…” I love my Scapular…

Varies depending on my mood. I can choose between a crucifix, a Miraculous Medal, a St Joseph medal (I love him dearly), a Sacred Heart medal, a St Benedict medal and my pendant with the symbol of the Secular Franciscan Order (which I am soon to join).

Normally I pick one or two that I feel like wearing that day or week, except the Franciscan pendant most always stays on!

Whenever I go out, I wear the brown scapular to remind me of our Lady, and that through her intercession I am protected and cared for.

minimal, just as I am minimalist in spiritualities, since committing to the Benedictine way as an oblate, I no longer go searching after other, equally valid but different ways (we make a promise of stability for that reason). That means commitment to daily LOTH, lectio divina, as well as the regular sacramental life, and Benedictine charisms of fidelity, stability and humility. so I wear my Benedictine cross (the one my brother gave me, which I wore at my profession, has broken long since, so I get a new one from the sisters whenever I need it, about once a year). I tend to get it caught on things and break the chain, string or break off the Corpus, so I don’t wear it if I am doing something active, or I tuck it inside my clothing. I do have the Benedictine medal, duly blest, in my car, on my keychain, and in my purse as well.

my brown scapular has a benedictine medal on it, too, and I wear it a lot, but most of them give me a rash, which gets infected, so I can’t wear it all the time.

I have rosaries the way some people have mice, everywhere. I could put my hands on half a dozen right this minute, keep them wherever I am likely to look for one–hanging at all outside doors, in both cars, in the golf cart, in all purses (matching cases), in home and work offices and desks, bedside, by my living room chair and in my prayer corner. I usually have 2-3 on me at all times for evangelization purposes. They just come in the mail from different missionaries I think.

You know, I never thought of my wedding ring being a sacramental, but it is, isn’t it? Wow. 🙂

I didn’t either until I sat down and thought about which sacramentals I wear. Sort of like :newidea: if you know what I mean.

I just wear the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mt.Carmel and I carry a Rosary with me at all times. I’m a younger man and sometimes I feel like I am the only person wearing it. I NEVER take it off unless it could get damages or I am taking a shower.

Well, my wedding ring (!) and a crucifix on a chain. Always, daily, forever! I won’t go without a crucifix. I have a bunch of necklaces that I cannot wear because of the crucifix chain and tangling, etc. I would like to have a crucifix ring to wear on my left middle finger (next to my wedding ring!) so I could wear my other necklaces, but that purchase keeps getting delayed. Oh, well, someday everything will be fixed in the house, all the bills will be paid, all the contributions made … yeah, right.

I always wear, and never take off, a gold celtic cross, a Good Shepherd medal and a small crucifix touched and blessed by JP2.

I have three medals - a St. Benedict, one of St. Michael and a Sacred Heart. I change them out ever so often, but I am almost always wearing one of them.

Around my neck, the San Damoiano Crucifix. Part of thr Rule of the CFP/BSP

Around my waist, the Cord Of Saint Philomena, to remind me of her help, and to ask her help in keeping my vows of chastity

Around my neck, the Brown Scapular (with a picture of saint Francis) together with the Green Scapular.

Also around my neck, the five-fold scapular. To remind me always of the gratitude I have for 23 years sobriety

Sometimes around my neck, a cord rosary. Blue in honor of Mary.

Sometimes I wear the brown scapular. I wear a silver rosary bracelet all the time, even in the pool or the shower. Since I am divorced and not free to date, I have a silver band-type ring which has cutouts of two fishes with a cross in between. I wear this on my wedding-ring finger so that I don’t look as if I am “available.”

I usually only wear a St. Benedict medal and a Guardian Angel/St. Michael medal around my neck. Somtimes I’ll swap that out for a crufucix that a Non-Catholic friend of mine got at a mission years ago (he found it while cleaning his room, looked at it funny, and asked me if I wanted it. ) I also always carry a rosary in my pocket, sometimes looped through my beltloop if I think it’s going to get too tangled with the other things in my pockets or I just forgot the case. I carry a St. Michael holy card in my wallet that a woman gave me for standing as a witness to her Marriage Blessing, and finally my keys have a “I am a Catholic, Call a Priest” medal on them.

I always wear my Canterbury Cross (unless I’m down at the shore where I’m afraid it’ll get damaged because of the sand and saltwater). And I don’t wear rosaries, but I have them everywhere it seems.

I wear a st.benedict medal and miraculous medal around my neck.
I bought them when I went for a pilgrimage to the Basilica of St.Anthony of Padua,Italy to visit his tomb.St.Benedict medal represents the good against the bad/evil and miraculous medal represents our holiest Mother’s graces for us.

Pax Dominum

I wear a crucifix that I used to wear whilst serving Mass, a miraculous Medal given to me by my Parents when I made my First Holy Communion and a Brown Scapular.

I also carry a Rosary with a Benedict Crucifix.
