I need some advice and you guys have been very helpful in the past

I have a crush on my best friend and she knows
I figured out that she did and just told her

Though she already knew things are getting awkward

It’s hard to be friends now and I tend to avoid her

She feels bad for me for this and my condition

I understand why she doesn’t greet or hug me (people think we like each other when we do)

I don’t know it’s just a sad situation
Not sure how to fix it

Maybe just wait it out?

Any advice for me?

After you told her what did she say? I guess I’m kind of lost with the situation. But If you told her you liked her and she liked you back she would have said something. I’d say be clear and ask her for her response. If not her loss. But based on what you posted on her not hugging you or greeting you I’d say she just sees you as a friend. But ask to be sure.

Agreed… if she doesn’t return the feelings… best to move on. Yes… it sucks… its happened to me before. 😦

waitasecond. you and & your “best friend” have an attraction to each other?

is there something wrong with that? am i missing something here?

what is your “condition” ?

Haha Don’t worry I’m straight

My condition in the bad acne I talk about in my other post

My face and neck are looking good for me but still bad for your average person

I’m like top 1% severity and it made it hard to move

She doesn’t want me thinking that’s why she doesn’t (I know it’s not)
She cares about me and i knew from the start she didn’t like me back

good grief; the girl likes you. go out to a nice restaurant & have dinner & a couple of glasses of wine

what harm could possibly come of it?

She told that yes she did know
And she’s sorry she doesn’t because of the friendship
She said not to think its me

Basically everything you’d want to hear
It’s just awkward now and hard to interact

I knew when I started liking her that I would need to be her friend

I just miss the hugs and interaction we had to stop because people got the wrong idea

It’s just a sad situation
But she has been very consoling and nice

She doesn’t like me

She’s very respectful tho
And appreciates my understanding

I just wish we could go back to the friendship that made me love her

i don’t want to go on & on about this

she likes you; you like her

take the next step

see what becomes of it

maybe something

maybe nothing…

God Bless you

I’d say it’ll be a little awkward after but if she’s nice about it than you can still be friends. Talk like normal and eventually all the awkward goes away. I’ve been the girl in this situation and it’s always worked out in friendship if its like that. Dont force it though.

Don’t even worry about anything @ineedofmercy. If it’s God’s Will that you be married, you’ll find the girl that’s meant to be your wife.

Just keep praying. Pray for your vocation, for your future wife, and for yourself, that you will make a good husband and father one day. Work on being a good person and loving God more, and He will send you your wife when you are ready for her.

Remember that you are still very young, and its not always a good thing to be in a romantic relationship at your age, as you’re not ready to marry and it could lead to temptation. You still have so much time before you need think about dating. These single years are a great opportunity to work on cultivating virtue and preparing yourself to be the best person you can be!

Don’t worry about anything. God loves you and He is in control. Never ever forget that.

I would say just have patience. I’ve been the girl in this situation and for a bit it was awkward until both of us got back into the swing of just enjoying talking about hobbies, our day, etc. like normal. Eventually he ended up dating another girl (I was even the first person he informed because he wanted someone who would be excited for him) who is just great for him and we’re still wonderful friends. I even poke at him and tell him not to freak his new girlfriend out too much by telling her to ignore the air raid sirens she hears on Skype because he’s stationed overseas at the moment. No awkwardness at all anymore (it only took one good heart to heart about where we were coming from for both of us after we’d had time to settle down after everything) and everything has settled to both of our comfort.
