Ah! It is Sirach who started this thread. I have been referring people to this thread in the belief that gilliam started it. Sorry Sirach.

AMAZING NEWS.

Shouldn’t those hypnotized by the current American policy in Iraq pick up the phone and call The Leader of the Free World? It’s gotta be a 212 area code, right?

I’ll be waiting breathlessly for his triumphant press conference.

The egg will certainly show on my face.

See, Colin Powell’s PowerPoint presentation at the UN wasn’t a waste! Way to go, Colin.

You might want to add your prayers for those in the path of the hurricane…it would help…

Whether there were or were not WMD is peripheral. We believed there were, and no one seriously disputed that. Even the French, Germans and Russians while refusing to do anything about Iraq, admitted that they believed Hussein had WMD.

I do not fully understand…if they were all over the place, why wasn’t that so obvious before??

There was a lot of WMD in Iraq. Hey, even our troops were attacked with IEDs with the stuff in them.

The big question is was it stuff the UN already knew about or not. Personally, I know of a lot of precursers that were found in Iraq (like tons of insectacide in military bunkers).

Like all ‘soundbites’ saying Iraq had no WMD so we shouldn’t not have gone to war, is incorrect.

Interesting.

So, If I want to be a terrorist in America all I need to do is buy a fram, right? I can then have all the diesel fuel, fertilizer and other chemicals I want and nobody can say anything until I actually try to mix them.

That Saddam is a pretty clever guy after all. Why go to the trouble to make fail-safe containment for fully processed chemical weapons when you can just store the precursors for mixing when needed? You avoid the risk of spills and get to maintain some (apparently plausible) deniability.

Read what I said. He was storing TONS of insectacide in military bunkers (underground) next to bombs. (ok I didn’t say bombs, but that is where they were stored). Is this what farmers do?

Oh, yea, if you were a smart terrorist, you would get a job doing something that would give you access to the ingrediants you need to do your job.

CLUCK CLUCK CLUCK!! 😃 How true… and how sad… 😦

It over and final

According to Charles Duelfer, the CIAs FINAL report is that there was NO WMDs of which we were sold and told.

Now who needs to get over what and face the truth?
Did you actually read the report?

In the book “The Secret History of the Iraq War” -Bodansky contends that WMD’s can be hidden in a two car garage. There are lots of places in Iraq that fit this description. I challenge you to find which two car garage in a city has a 1965 Ford Mustang.

That is essentially correct. On a project for the US Army Chemical Center, one of my tasks was to work with the Army’s surrogate terrorist group, the Leesville Urban Group or “LUG” (Motto, “Don’t Fug Wid Da LUG.”) My task was to carry out chemical attacks on US forces at the Joint Readiness Traning Center at Fort Polk, LA.

We developed a formula for nerve gas (which is actually an oily liquid) using only chemicals that could be found in the local area (around Leesville, LA…) You’ll understand if I don’t give the formula here – but a knowledgeable person can make nerve gas anywhere in the US.

The chemicals we used (which apparently he also planned to use) are not ideally suited for military use. For one thing, once mixed they are highly dangerous to handle and transport. They however would be devastating in attacking civilian targets.

Why should we believe that article?
Try reading it VERY VERY carefully. I fyou have a reasonable understanding of English you will find it actually says nothing. It is full of qualifying words like “Hunderds” not a hundred or ninety nine or ten Hundreds! What does that mean?
Iraq was in “Material Violation”, what violation, what materials what what?
A prison laboratory where we SUSPECT … very succint I don’t think.
We found the missiles a spokeman said, what spokesman, oh… I don’t want to be indentified. Convenient that.

Curt Weldon: 9/11 Panel Will Be Discredited

Rep. Curt Weldon predicted yesterday that members of the 9/11 Commission would have “egg all over their face” when the truth comes out about briefings they received on an elite group of military intelligence analysts code named Able Danger.

“The 9/11 Commission is trying to spin this because they’re embarrassed at what’s coming out,” Weldon told the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” morning show.

walstan,

Exactly! Why should be believe one article (which has not been given any time or credit by anyone of postion)?

I know - I was just illustrating how difficult the task really is.

Does anyone know if the claims made in the article are true?
The thing which doesn’t make sense to me is, assuming Saddam had WMD, wouldn’t he have used them when fighting a war for his very administration and life? With the enemy at the gate, wouldn’t someone as nasty and mad as Saddam was just use everything he had?

Hmm, but he didn’t. I wonder if that’s because he didn’t have anything to use?

Mike
