I wanted to remind everyone that today is the 598th anniversary of Saint Joan of Arc’s birthday. She was born on twelfth night or the celebration of the Epiphany which is a fact that few people know. Yes, my dh and I are celebrating her feast day on 5/30 which is the anniversary of the her martyrdom. We are doing this by putting on a self -defense workshop for women at the martial arts dojo he runs and giving all of the money to the Church we go to. Our parish priest had just given a homily about service and charity the day we decided to do this - we don’t have much money right now of our own but we can always give time.
 
A woman who can lead the French into war is worth celebrating!
 
Never knew I share a birthday with this Saint. How exciting. 🙂
