“Born into a noble family in Italy, St. Camillus (1550-1614) was a young soldier of fortune who became penniless because of an addiction to gambling. St. Pantaleon was a physician who was known as the “fee-less physician” for practicing his profession without charging for his services. He was martyred around 305, during the reign of Diocletian. He is patron of doctors, bachelors, of torture victims, patron against tuberculosis.

He spent most of his life in the confessional, drawing energy from his intimate and constant friendship with Our Lord in the Eucharist.
