GOD IS A GOD OF MERCY ,BUT HE IS ALSO A GOD OF
JUSTICE. GOD WILL BE MERCYFUL BUT HE WILL NOT COMPOMISE HIS PERFECT JUSTICE .

Absolutely. I’ll even go so far as to say that Catholics have as good a chance at salvation as anyone else!
 
I find it very strange to believe that God would threaten something and not follow through with the punishment if the person does not truly repent. IMHO this type of thought is why people that say they are Christians don’t act like Christians.

A worldly example of this thought are the actions of human children raised by parents that threaten and never follow through on their promises. Look around you and see the results. Tantrums, back talk, disrespect etc.

So I personally believe in the merciful God of the Bible. I also believe in the just punishment that goes with sin and the need to be truly repentant for those sins to be worthy of God’s mercy.
