QUOTE]

well, you doing better. 1923 ain’t 1550, so you are getting modern. What’s your point - the latin liturgy has value?

what?
The point would be that in 1923 the Liturgy was consonant with 1550…it’s called tradition. The conciliar church has no uniformity and no beauty in its rites. Rev Chidwick shows how that beauty and ceremony has meaning.
For this reason the revealed truth, which cannot change, causes our liturgy to move with uniformity and harmony, everywhere essentially the same in all countries and all ages. Wherever he may be, a child of Holy Church is at home at the Catholic services of the land. He may be in distant Asia or Africa, among people whose habits of thought, language and customs of life are strange and un-intelligible to him, but in their churches, if they be of the household of faith, he is in a familiar House of God and can worship in the same manner as he does at home.

The Traditionalists have Lefebre who was excommunicated.

The Latin Rite is understood by God only. Did Jesus lead the Last Supper with his back to his disciples?

What is beautiful about the Latin Rite mass that I grew up with in the 50’s? (or 1923) Nothing. If you say something poetic, you are in denial.

At least putting it in English means that we are on the level with God: our worship is in a language God and we understand.

I guess the Latin rite gives Lefebreve a cause to die for, with those thrown out into the exterior darkness.

Defending the Latin rite and defending Lefebreve are on the same plane.

These are by far the most ridiculous things you’ve written…so far, that is…I’m quite certain you will progress.

our worship is in a language (English) God and we understand?

The Traditionalists prefer to refer to the Latin Rite as Mass in the Latin language. We have been discussing Lefebreve. If you are considering a Latin rite Mass in English, then yes, you are on the same level as God.

Why would people want to speak to God in a language they don’t understand? We had been doing that up to Vatican 2, which Council Traditionalists deplore.

Maybe you like Mass in English, but considering all your poetic quotes on the Latin Mass, I assume you are a Traditionalist.

Now you are showing your true colors. Just another Traditional Mass hater.
If I said that Latin is the “language of the angels” would you consider me crazy?

Do you speak or understand Latin?

I AM IN NO WAY ON THE SIDE OF SOME OF THESE FEENITES LIKE SFD-(WHO I CHALLENGED TO A PHONE CONVERSATION ON THIS VERY ISSUE BAPTISM OF DESIRE) but. in my opinion the TLM is a beatuiful mass—have you ever been to a high Maas with gregorian chant—GO!!! YOU WILL LOVE------THERE IS A REASON THEY CALL IT THE MASS OF THE SAINTS-- P.S. PRAY FOR OUR LOVED HOLY FAITHER BENEDICT XVI (MAY OUR BLESSED MOTHER BE CLOSE TO HIM)

Do you ever check your email, knightbvm? It might behoove you to do so…in the future it may help you avoid making erroneous statements like this one.

Have you read any of this thread? You think I am a Feeneyite?

You’re not even paying attention Mr. knightbvm.

I grew up before VAC 2, so I am familar with the Latin Mass, low Mass, High Mass, and Solemn High Mass.

Yes, it is very beautiful, and I enjoy watching ETWN on holy days when the Holy Father is celebrant, with Gregorian Chant, etc.

I don’t know about calling it ‘mass of the saints’, or ‘mass of angels’, but I find it special because I understand Latin so it has meaning for me.

SFD denies any of this in case his mother finds out.

But, I was in favor of the changes in the 60’s, since I felt that the mass should be in the vernacular, and I still feel the same way.

As far as the Feeneyites on this website, they stay in hiding. It is hard telling who is a straight Traditionalists, Feeneyites, followers of Lefebreve, and other reactionaries.

Of course, Kelly, and Mendez were automatically excommunicated for their consecration without authorization of the Holy See for their consecration. Likewise any priestly ordinations by Kelly.

I don’t know what the other excommunications were attached to SSXP. I never was that interested to know. But, if they like being outside the Church, that is there is business.

Send me an email with the names of others on this Board who are so tainted. I bet it confirms my suspicions about lots of others.

I THOUGHT I SENT YOUA REPLY TONIGHT–perhaps I am mistaken–you are not a feenyite?

lol sorry–I just reviewed the posts—I have you mistaken with gerard—my apologies–God Bless

I

.
This Canon lawyer disagree with you…
That Canon lawyer ought to read Mystici Corporis.

It is clear from Pius XII’s statement that those excommunicated are outside the Mystical Body.

NO. And btw, I replied to your email 4 hours ago. So you haven’t read (and comprehended) any of this thread…but you were sure you were “gonna set me straight”? Amazing.

I said I had you confused with someone else—i retract and apologize------😃

No, I am not gerard. He threatened to ‘nail my tail to the wall’ for some absurd reason. He deserves to be banned for inappropriate language. But I’d love to hear the dirt on SFD and his cohorts on site.
