The gay agenda is to get gay marriage legalized in all 50 states and basically to be given special rights. Some of them would have preaching against homosexuality to be a hate crime. That is how far some of them are willing to go.
Thank you all for your insights, and replies…I’m truly not naive…I just hear different variations on the term agenda, so it makes me question. What I’m about to say will probably sound not so popular on a Catholic board. I was raised Catholic and I’m a devout Catholic. What I see a problem with, is people living immorally, and receiving Communion. I lived an immoral life at one point in my life…and I did not receive Communion. Why do I bring this up? Because that is the only real big problem I see with the ‘gay agenda.’ I don’t think that from a legal standpoint, we can tell people who they can/should marry, and somehow, not be dictating a particular religious viewpoint. I don’t know if what I’m trying to say is coming out correctly…but, I believe that if two people love one another, then it is between them and God. I don’t look at this topic, as I look at abortion for example–the killing of innocent life. Now, I do believe that when one follows an immoral lifestyle, he/she is killing his/her soul…but, is it up to us to dictate to another person, how he/she lives his/her life? I think that by example, we can lead people to Christ, and by that leading…hopefully, one will turn from living an immoral lifestyle.
The present argument (one which includes gays marrying will deter heterosexual marriages) against gays marrying will not deter it. People need to be led to Christ, and that’s pretty much how I feel about it. I am not advocating it, by any stretch, but I don’t think that state/government law, should step in with this situation. Abortion, yes–they should ban that…or at least make it that unless the mother’s life is in danger, than it can be used. But, abortion is a matter of life and death…and I’m pro life. Abortion also begs the question of morality, as well. But, the gay lifestyle…no, I don’t advocate it…I think that God finds it sinful…but when it comes to the ethical treatment of another human being–his/her lifestyle should not come into play.
Ok…let the tomato throwing begin.

I hope you all know where I’m coming from. I’m not by any means a ‘cafeteria Catholic,’ or a liberal Catholic…I’m actually pretty conservative. But, I’ve looked at this issue from all angles, and although I see the harm of such a lifestyle, I look at it more pragmatically…which when creating laws, etc…should be the consideration.
