When you think about it, I’m sure we would agree that it really doesn’t matter what Saint Augustine or Marin Luther believed regarding polygamy. What matters is what God reveals in the Scriptures on the subject of polygamy. I think Augustine and Luther looked to the Scriptures for their view on polygamy. My conclusion is the same as theirs… when we consider all of the Scriptures on the topic. The Prophets, the Apostles, and Jesus never condemned polygamy. The Bible is full of incentous and polygamous marriages which are never condemned.Yes, see post #4. A Christian marriage is between one woman and one man. Augustine said it was the best marriage. Same-sex unions are not marriage and never have been.
