And you want people to tell you they are ok with that:confused:

Life is full of choices. Becuase of a choice you make there will be consequences. Hope you can accept the consequences of your choices!
Yes I do, theres nothing wrong with love.

I do.

there is something wrong with people acting on homosexual desires…but you keep missing that point.🤷
so glad to hear it!👍 so that means no more suicide attempts because folks are not accepting of your desire to have homosexual relations!

Nobody is stopping them:p but then if they make this choice no one has to accept them either, nor does anybody have to think it is morally ok!

Goofyjim.
You are a homosexual (I gather), not sexually active from what I gather, why not?
Noone has to accept their behavior. They do have to accept the person. And I just haven’t come across the right guy yet. My family will support me when the time comes. They have said they see nothing wrong with it assuming that would make me truly happy. Well living alone without sex does not make me happy anymore. And I am not attracted to a woman enough to make it worthwhile.

Being Gay is A’Okay!

more pro-gay/cafeteria catholics I assume?🤷

Canada or Massachusetts
And if you leave MA with a pretend husband no one else will recognize it:p

As to Canada…

I guess your Cafeteria Catholic mom is not real good explaining what marriage is and why homosexuals shoiuld not be married or having sex.🤷

That’s a bit of a cop out:rolleyes:

There are plenty of threads where we discuss things that are presently illegal AND legal.

I think the fact is that this comparision makes very many proponents of SSM very uncomfortable as there is little they can point to to refute the same marriage rights for couples desiring an incestuous relationship.
No, it isn’t a cop out and doesn’t make me uncomfortable. It is a separate topic. When the question of marriage rights for couples desiring an incestuous relationship arises in our society and when such relationships are legal, I will be glad to discuss it. There are a number of entirely different dynamics that come into play when discussing relationships that are legally defined as incestuous.

It is not equivalent to the question of civil marriage rights for adult unrelated same sex couples, relationships that are legal.

as a homosexual why would you want something that has historically been associated with heterosexuals?
Why would a person want a loving lifelong commitment to another person, one that provides physical and emotional support and companionship and deepens over time?

Or why would a person want a legal recognition of that relationship, a recognition that provides well over a thousand specific rights and benefits (as well as obligations) under federal law, not to mention state law?

then have a commitment ceremony.

A civil union could and in many cases afford them the same protection.
But the issue is that homosexuals want the title of “marraige” applied to what they have…why??
The authors of the New Jersey measure said they intend for civil unions to be identical to marriage in all but name. The legislation spells out specific benefits to be extended, such as full adoption rights and the right to change surnames without a court petition…New Jersey’s high court ruled unanimously that same-sex couples deserved full access to the rights and privileges of marriage

Have it your way:rolleyes:

Lawrence vs. Texas has provided the slippery slope necessary for consenting incestuous relationships. To say it is a separate topic is disingenuious.

At what point do you think the minority rights start? Estimates vary on homosexuals in the population from as low as 2% to as high as 10% depending on which study. Even if only 0.001% of consenting adults want to commit incest why should they be stopped?

It is the same topic.

Should Incest Be Legal?
Time Apr 5, 2007

*When the Supreme Court struck down Texas’s law against sodomy in the summer of 2003, in the landmark gay rights case of Lawrence v. Texas, critics warned that its sweeping support of a powerful doctrine of privacy could lead to challenges of state laws that forbade such things as gay marriage and bigamy. “State laws against bigamy, same-sex marriage, adult incest, prostitution, masturbation, adultery, fornication, bestiality, and obscenity are … called into question by today’s decision,” wrote Justice Antonin Scalia, in a withering dissent he read aloud page by page from the bench.

It turns out the critics were right. Plaintiffs have made the decision the centerpiece of attempts to defeat state bans on the sale of sex toys in Alabama, polygamy in Utah and adoptions by gay couples in Florida. So far the challenges have been unsuccessful. But plaintiffs are still trying, even using Lawrence to challenge laws against incest. *

The question of marriage rights for incestuous relationships has arisen in our society. Are you ready to discuss it now?

Daddums 🙂

I tried to fight it and it made me feel even worse, I need to accept it.
wow…I leave for a couple hours and the pages just pile up…oh well.
So, you tried to fight it. Given that you are currently and have been previously sexually inactive, (and noting that Mom (but not my own) has beaten me to the question), you must mean that you’ve fought your attraction to other men, and it made you feel worse. But that doesn’t mean you have to act upon your desires. You are a human, you have free will. You are not a dog that has to…you know…every leg he sees. Many Many people lead virginal lives, even though they have attractions to other people. Why do you discount your ability to do that?
