The archbishop of Milan has just raised a vial of the liquefied, 1700-year-old blood of Saint Januarius (Saint Gennaro) before a huge crowd in his cathedral. Liquefied means become a liquid. This blood had poured out of the martyred saint, in the year 305. Every year in the date of the saint’s martyrdom his ancient blood becomes a liquid, which is seen as a miracle there. Scientists have said that this is definitely human blood, but they are unable to say how it becomes liquid.
