Interesting. Thank you for the clarification. Not at all.
It is the opinion of one man, nothing more. Manmade Global Warming is in no way binding on conscience for Catholics.

Here we go. When all else fails threaten me with the old, if you disagree with the pope then you are going to hell. You can list all the ones you want, it still means that you are at odds with official church teaching on the subject.
I may be wrong but aren’t papal encyclicals considered, ex cathedra?
I don’t know why everything has to be about these 2 issues. I just had on EWTN News. The anchor, a female, said Bernie doesn’t support Catholic teaching on abortion and marriage. She asked the Vatican correspondent if Rome was “Feelin the Bern”? The female in the Vatican said yes Rome was. And said Bernie gave a very “Catholic speech” evoking the names of Popes. And the Vatican correspondent reminded the EWTN anchor that this Pope has called for dialogue. He supports abortion and gay marriage. Not getting my vote.
AMEN brother!!!here we go. When all else fails threaten me with the old, if you disagree with the pope then you are going to hell.
I can turn that around on you. Now, it looks like you may be falsely teaching.
Pointing out the faults or the sins of the church leaders is our duty. That is right. I am not suppose to just agree when i see blatant lies going on.
Typical really. It is unreal how people use the old “you better or else you are going to eternal hell…”
it is no wonder why so many people do not want to have anything to do with the church or god. That is all hypocrites do. Point the finger and threaten with hell fire. Eternal hell fire.
Here is question. Are we suppose to remain silent if we see false teachings?
Why does Bernie have your vote?I don’t know why everything has to be about 1 or 2 issues. I just had on EWTN News. Bernie sure got my vote this yr.
I wonder if there is anybody who DOESN’T think he, himself, takes economic morality seriously. At the same time I believe Bernie takes economic morality very seriously and he has long before the NY primary admired the Pope.
I’ve been Catholic for about a month so cut me some slack. I thought that encyclicals were ex-cathedra.Here we go. When all else fails threaten me with the old, if you disagree with the pope then you are going to hell.

I already voted for him. I agree with him on a number of issues. Guns is an area where I am more in line with Hillary Clinton. But Jesus spoke about caring for the sick. And I have long held the view that single payer is the best way to go. France and the Brits and Canadians, etc do it. There is no reason why the wealthiest nation on God’s plant can not guarantee healthcare. Sure we are a larger nation. But we also have a lot more wealth. Jesus spoke about justice and the poor. He said some things regarding the rich. A core of Bernie’s message is the growing income disparity between the richest at the very top vs everyone else, the middle class and poor. I imagine he discussed that at the Vatican conference today. Pope Francis shares his concerns. Bernie addresses climate change. The Pope has too. Republicans aren’t even willing to acknowledge climate change. Bernie opposes the death penalty. The Pope opposes the death penalty. Jesus spoke of care for the prisoner. Bernie speaks of reform in our prison system. I don’t believe we have to agree on everything before we can share other moral values. And Bernie said as much to students at conservative Liberty University in an earlier address. Why does Bernie have your vote?
Omigosh! He actually named Popes?I don’t know why everything has to be about these 2 issues. I just had on EWTN News. Is that term they are using now in place of socialism? Economic “morality?”I wonder if there is anybody who DOESN’T think he, himself, takes economic morality seriously.
Did not mean to sound that way. Trust me. I have struggled with scrupulosity all of my life and I am very sensitive with people that use the hell fire thing with me.I’ve been Catholic for about a month so cut me some slack. I thought that encyclicals were ex-cathedra.
Thank you and again, my apologies.Did not mean to sound that way. Trust me. I have struggled with scrupulosity all of my life and I am very sensitive with people that use the hell fire thing with me.
That is all. I hope you grow and continue to see what Eucharist can do through faith in your life.
Yes, it can be very rewarding. God bless. Pray for me.![]()
One thing is for sure. Neither Hillary Clinton nor Bernie Sanders will aid the sick, any more than Barack Obama did.I already voted for him. I agree with him on a number of issues. Climate change is happening. It has always been happening, since the creation of the planet and the universe.I already voted for him. I agree with him on a number of issues. Guns is an area where I am more in line with Hillary Clinton. But Jesus spoke about caring for the sick. And I have long held the view that single payer is the best way to go. AMEN!!!Our Lord never told us to rely on Rome. He said love your neighbor. Not tell your neighbor to rely on Rome and that is enough.
I am very curious to know if this Pope will address Bernie’s dubious stance on abortion, the fact that he is pretty much an atheist, on why he honeymooned in former USSR and Cuba.
Did this Pope address the violations of human rights by the Castro brothers over the last 60 years? The Catholics he murdered? Let me know where.
Did he send back the hammer and sickle the form of a crucifix to the Bolivian president? Rather blasphemous in my opinion. Did he return it?
I am not going to follow this and follow the “way of the world” and if we think all Popes have been right just because they are the pontiff do not know history.
Beware, is all I am going to say. I wish I could say I am a saint. I know I further than really anyone.
This stuff has me very concerned. It ought concern all of us.
I don’t know but breaks for the rich and trickle down didn’t work Time perhaps for a new economic morality besides that one.I wonder if there is anybody who DOESN’T think he, himself, takes economic morality seriously.
And Republicans haven’t ended abortion either. There is a Catholic poster here on CAF in fact who even explains who the justices were when Roe v Wade was decided over 43 yrs ago.One thing is for sure. Neither Hillary Clinton nor Bernie Sanders will aid the sick, any more than Barack Obama did.
And let’s see, what is the last thing either party did for the truly poor? Why, it was the Earned Income Credit, and that was Reagan’s. Lots of water under the bridge since then.
Bernie Sanders probably really thinks he’ll soak the rich, but he won’t. Hillary Clinton is the best friend the fabulously rich ever had. Does anybody forget she was on the board of directors of Walmart back when Walmart was putting every “Mom and Pop” store in the country out of business and was perhaps the most anti-union corporation in the world outside China?
Myths. But people cherish their myths, and I understand that. What I don’t understand is people voting to kill the unborn for the sake of them. No myth is worth empowering those who promote the killing.
Stop it with the propaganda for socialism. There is no utopia out there. Your attempts are failing, at least with me.I don’t know but breaks for the rich and trickle down didn’t work Time perhaps for a new economic morality besides that one.
