A Non-Catholic used this verse against apparition, “Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” (2 Corinthians 11:14) proving that Satan really deceives us and contradicts the Bible.

No Church-approved apparition contradicts the Bible, so I don’t see how this argument holds any weight.

Not just that, but we are not in fact required to believe that any particular apparition is true or really happened.

And a poor excuse to reject any and every supernatural manifestation out of hand. God would have a hard time ever revealing Himself to man if we applied that rule straight across the board, on every occasion.

The Bible also provides a way to know…who is from God and who is not:

from 1John 4…6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit[a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

But there are apparitions from God. There is this one, for example: on the sixth day of the month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a virgin whose name was Mary. And he came to her and said, “:Hail, full of grace.” “Do not be afraid, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.” (Luke 1:26-31).

Satan deceives through some apparitions by weaving lies in with the truth. There’s enough truth for people to believe in it, but enough lies to lead the person astray. However, that doesn’t mean that many of the apparitions throughout history were false. Far from that.

Sadly, this is another example of Kindergarten, one-verse-at-a-time theology. Let’s see what the bible has to say about this:
1 John 4:1-3
King James Version (KJV)
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
The Church studies all alleged apparitions for years, decades even. The Holy Spirit unites Christians, while the demon divides them. So, for the sake of division and polemics, whoever said this is, in actuality, following the lead of a demon. Their senses are dulled. As always, truth plods along slowly, while ignorance flashes like lightning.
