Ah, do craft and wiles equal intelligence? Why is it that so many criminals are in jail? Is it because they are intelligent, or because they are crafty? Intelligence is on the side of the law, and intelligence usually outwists craft, though it may use craft from time to time … to outcraft the crafty.

Intelligence is not synonymous with knowledge or wisdom. Nor is it intelligence that saves us. Rather it is trust in God, and not human intelligence that protects us against the wiles of the devil.
