Thatā€™s what Kitty was just asking. Yes I do speak to a priest regularly. Heā€™s tolerable. Iā€™d probably like him if he wasnā€™t a priest. :rolleyes:

My beliefs? Well theyā€™re still the same.

On a side note, I did end up telling my husband. That wasā€¦ Interesting.

Why not try speaking to another priest, one you feel comfortable with?
I would have love to be a fly on the wall when that conversation with your husband went down!

Dolphin, I donā€™t think it matters what priest I talk to. How comfortable do you think you would be talking to a priest about this topic? I donā€™t think itā€™s possible.

He is a nice guy though, and heā€™s fairly easy to talk toā€¦ Besides, heā€™s managed not to shatter my perception of priests from when I was a kid. Which in my opinion, is a good thing otherwise I probably wouldnā€™t continue talking to him.

As far as my husband - he asked why too. Awkward moment, but we havenā€™t spoken about it since.

As for the priest, I guess he didnt freak either, if I understand you, youre saying hes not as bad as you thought. Thats a good thing.

I do believe in the existence of heaven and hell. Hell, as I understand it, is simply the absence of God. Which really is all I could ask for. I will leave the debate of what it means to be in heaven or hell to the people who care.

Why worship the devil? I do not recall if there was ever a cause for my decision. Even if there was a reason it was probably very silly. Now that Iā€™m a parent myself it has lead me to some revelations that children really donā€™t have a good reason to do anything, they just do it. šŸ¤·

Why not worship a deity? Well, thereā€™s only one God. And I donā€™t much like him. That puts me in a particular spot considering I donā€™t believe itā€™s possible to sit on a fence while believing what I believe. Which Iā€™ve said in the past tends to parallel closely to Catholicism.

What can I say my parents were catholic. šŸ˜›

The devil is the logical choice in my case, or illogical as the case may be. Whether it be praying to him or helping someone take a deliberate step away from god, I have always found it to be very satisfying.

I canā€™t do anything to God, but I can certainly make it difficult for the things he cares about the most, namely: us.

Well yes, yes I have. It speaks about Jewish exorcists who had no belief in Jesus who expected to use Paul as a power source. I think the point is that power and authority on earth comes through Christ. Trying to use any other source to exorcise demons is foolish. Paul and other disciples healed people and cast out demons. But, they didnā€™t do it in their own power.

So, what was your point? šŸ™‚

Whatever I do in delivering a person of a possessing spirit that is a demon is done as I am a child of God, an adopted son. I ask the Holy Spirit, the angels and the Lord Jesus to rebuke these demons. They have no other alternative but to leave. I said before I am not a holy person or special person because I do these things. I just try to be frank with people and show them that it is real.

I never believed in possession either till it happened to people close to me. I have an agnostic friend who also happens to be a psychologist. After an acquaintance became possessed and he saw paranormal things happen he saw its reality first hand, along with me.

Believe it or donā€™t beleive it. Ridicule. Revile. Laugh. Back away in disgust. It really doesnā€™t matter to me. I have enough things to worry about than whether or not you approve or find it real. Hopefully one day you will not find out how real it is.

Iā€™m glad you admit this. And it confirms my experience with the Devil and those who worship him. I find it very satisfying to lead people away from the Devil. The difference between us is that I can be protected by God from the Devil. The Devil canā€™t really protect you from Godā€™s power and love because he canā€™t deal with it himself.

Making it difficult for the things he cares about is what I expect really. Itā€™s too bad you are on the other side of the fence. Peace and fulfillment are on this side. Death and destruction are on the other. I hope you find your way to God and settle the issues you have with Him.

Isnā€™t that the truth! I donā€™t scare easily, but this one timeā€¦oh my goodness! I turned the television on to 48 hours or 20/20 (one of those shows) just to listen to something while I did the dishes. They showed an up-close picture of a woman, a nanny actually, and I immediately turned the tv off, it scared my so bad. They say you can see the soul thru. the eyesā€¦that night I knew that saying was true, I had to sit in the living room with all the lights on and I just focused for a few minutes on the Sacred Heart of Jesus picture we had in the living room. After I ā€œrecoveredā€ I turned the tv back on to find out what the story was, and as it turns out the nanny had kidnapped the infant. I donā€™t know the rest of the story since I turned it off and just played some music, but Iā€™ll never forget that.

Being a parent and loving corruption, I have to ask, do you molest your children? If this disgusts you, how would you feel if somebody else did (to your children)?
