Just watched a video on the net today where thousands of dollars was spent, and a hugh hole was dug next to a house by a large back hoe, plumbers, firefighters, video equipment was employed etc spent 8 hours rescuing a tiny puppy that had fallen down a drain pipe because they could “hear” the puppies cry as it echoed out of the pipe to the street.

If only our Fetuses cry’s could be heared on the street!!!

Imagine how many would arrive with what large equipment to save them !

May GOD have mercy on our souls.

It is a Federal crime to destroy the egg of an American bald eagle (to abort it in utero, essentially, since birds gestate outside the mother in eggs) but federal law says late term abortions of HUMANS are licit.

That’s disgusting, and I too, offer a prayer to God that He may have mercy on us.

Good point.

Gives insight into our “priorities,” is it not? As in—our lack of respect for human life?

Indeed.

Well, I’m really glad that the puppy was rescued and think that these sort of situations do call for a rescue.

But I see your point. It is nonsensical to rescue puppies and not human babies.

I wish they were all cared for and rescued 😦

I offer my prayers as well. This is a sick, fallen society that we live in…

It seems that since recent ultra sounds give a better picture of the baby in utero that more people are realizing that the “fetus” is not just a clump of cells.

In a way modern technology is allowing the unborn to be more “visible.”

That being said: It sickens me that the same people who are against seal hunting and fur, and who are vegans are aggressively pro-abortion.

I am sorry to be cruel but your argument has as much credence as the argument that every bacteria has the right to survive b e i n g G O D created it.

Not saying a child/fetus is bacteria. But the living are far more important. If we can not care for our weakest members of society, that have grown beyond the womb, how can we demand protection for the unborn.

We do such a dismal job in looking after the chroniclly sick, we have no right to demand a child be born. If we can not honestly say it will be cared for. So a child is born a six month premmie and drug addicted, with out arms, and blind. Well we take care of it?

Where is that in the health care bill, why isn’t it a bigger issue? Why because it is nice not to worry about what hasn’t happened yet.

I am tired of hearing about anti-abortion campaigns and all the dollars spent while I have family members that I can afford to care for and know they waste away their days in a half profit/half government funded home. It does not matter she sits for 6 hours a day facing a cafeteria because the group home hasn’t the funds for recreation.

This is my sister, and no one seems to care …she was born ,…now she has to perform… well Val can’t… should I leave her to faith, to society. At least the government gives her bed and food. I don’ t know of any Church that would do the same.

So don’t ask me to tell heartbroken girls to feel worse for then they do, to assume they feel nothing. Spend your time and mo ney helping the worse of the weakess and then I will follow you cause. But until I see my 48 year old sister cared for and loved by all, I am not with you. The living should come first.

How amazing that - in your world - we lose the right to save our Fetuses because we cannot save all those who are sick? Did JESUS save all those who were sick while HE walked the earth? No, HE did not. .
JESUS did not come to save the sick, HE came to save “all souls” - healthy and sick. Eternal health is not available on this planet with our without OBC - it is not in GOD’s plan for us to be healthy on earth, but rather healthy in heaven with HIM.

Are we not Steward of the world, meaning to care for it and it inhabitants?

Jesus was one man, how could he save everyone that is why we are left to do his job.

The percentage of abortions against the ill is … well to high. It is so easy to support a cause that there is no after care for the pregnant woman. Who cares for her?

I’m truly sorry to hear about your sister. She’s in my prayers. But it’s quite clear that your personal struggle is clouding your judgement on this issue.

Since we cannot care perfectly for all who are born, you think we should murder them instead?

If I felt sorry for your sister (and I do) because she doesn’t have the life we all want for her…should I murder her? Would you be upset with me if I went to that government home and “helped” her by giving her a “merciful” death? If so, why?

My intent is not to offend you with those questions, but to open your eyes to the absolute evil you’re advocating for other human beings. They have as much right to live as your sister does!!

First off, my prayers are with you and your sister. God gives some of us such heavy crosses to carry in our lives…

But to argue that abortion should be allowed to remain legal because we already have our hands full with all of the other evils and social injustices in our society is a deeply flawed argument. If people thought this way, would we ever have abolished slavery? It is our duty, as christians, to destroy ALL evil in our society and that starts with the ones that we have the most control over. Like it or not, abortion is an intrinsic evil that is very much within our society’s control.

Also, a baby in the womb is a human life that is of equal value to you and me. There is no question of whether or not society can “afford” another baby because by the time pregnancy occurs that baby has already been created. If you want to ask the question of whether society should have to accept another child into the world, then the time to ask this question is before having sex… of course this is a lesson that the traditional family did a great job teaching adolescent men and women… something that is completely lost on our generation of daycare-raised children, Obama’s party of death, and the insane number of government agencies that want to control every aspect of our life…

I would like to point out that that argument doesn’t make much sense. Its illegal to destroy the egg not because it has a right to live or because it will suffer if you kill it but because that’s an endangered species and ecosystems rely on it.

Why is it important to save the ecosystem assuming we establish its actually at risk? The Earth destroys its own ecosystems all the time and has done so throughout history. Declaring an “ecosystem” has a right to life is just a round about way of saying the egg has a right to life.

It is still placing a higher value on the life of a bird than the lives of our own fellow humans.

Humans have that natural inclination to respond empathetically to the distress of others, but what then if it was silent? No one would have saved it.

You’re right in saying that abortion is easy because the child cannot react.

You may have heard that saying that if fish could screech in pain, no one in their right mind would ever go fishing as a hobby again.

Our nation almost seems to be Pagan concerning its laws. I mean, we value the egg of an Eagle or a puppy trapped in a drain more than we value an unborn human child. That’s sickening.

I would like to point out that that argument doesn’t make much sense. Its illegal to destroy the egg not because it has a right to live or because it will suffer if you kill it but because that’s an endangered species and ecosystems rely on it.
And yet an animal’s worth does not even approach that of a human being. Animal species come and go, and that’s sad, truly it is, but the lowliest human being is worth more than the most endangered animal species.

I am not sure what saving puppies has to do with the laws on abortion. Can we not be happy that those puppies were saved without relating it to abortion. Could those pieces of equipment have done anything to stop abortions? I do not understand why caring for sick, abused, abandoned, or dying animals seems always to bring up the arguement about abortion. I believe God gives us all unique gifts that he wants us to use in our own ways. Some are called to help the helpless animals others may be are called to help unborn children. They are two seperate issues can we keep it that way?
