Because state government stood up for civil order, Arizona quickly became a curse word in media around the globe.

At a time when the U. S. Catholic Church seems identified as a defender and promoter of massive illegal immigration, it’s a useful reminder that neither Pope Benedict XVI nor the Vatican agrees with this stand.

The entire article is interesting, if, for no other reason, it actually attempts to capture the other side of the story from a Catholic perspective.

But who is buying and further selling these illegal drugs?

The No. 1 customers are from the U.S.A. Less demand leads to less supply leading to less money and furthermore violence (because of the loads of money involved). Simple as that.

Immigrants entering into a country illegally are filling the positions of those who have opted to enter legally.

Laws are already on the books. Politicians choose not to enforce those laws, not out of any special empathy for the illegals, but because there are influential and powerful interests in America who want the floodgates to remain open. Cheap labor improves the bottom line.

Arizona’s law is not a new law, just a commitment to actually enforce the laws that already exist. That the legislators there have chosen to go with the will of the people of Arizona, rather than with the will of the special interests is as unusual as it is commendable.

It is one of those increasingly rare victories for democracy where the will of the people is actually given consideration by those in office.

Yes, its our fault because there are millions of drug users in America who create the market for illegal drugs from Mexico. I don’t use drugs. It is not my fault. The open borders lobby blames America for the murderous drug cartels because we create the market, just like they blame us for the presence of millions of illegals because of traitorous and criminal Americans who employ them. Since I do neither of these things, I don’t have to tolerate either. The illegal acts of one group of people cannot ever justify the illegal acts of another group. Your logic is just regurgitated propaganda from the open borders lobby.

I have a third cousin who is a convicted drug smuggler, through Canada. He was so big he got written up in Reader’s Digest. He got about 35 years. He should have gotten life.

Funny there is no mention of the right of a country to soverignty, or the duties of immigrants to follow the laws of the country to wish to enter.
