Scans today and thanksgiving for prayers

****A huge thank you and God’s blessings upon all who have prayed for me consistently for YEARS now! I have scans today and will hear the results at treatment next Monday. Your prayers have sustained me along this miraculous journey. God’s love has been made manifest through the intercession of those who pray. May the peace of our risen Lord Jesus Christ be with each of you. Amen!
 
Thank you, Lord, for your continued blessings upon po18guy. Please help him to keep persevering in faith and in every good work. Please continue to meet his spiritual and temporal needs and give him the continued strength and courage that he needs to fight his battle with cancer. May your holy will be done in his life with no obstacles to yor holy will. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer.
 
May St. Peregrine intercede for you and ask God to cure you of this illness. Amen.

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder-Worker,” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you.
For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.
(Pause here and silently recall the names of the sick for whom you are praying)
Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.

Dear po18guy, all prayers continue for you! I can understand, as I am just now recovering from surgery after a malignancy was found and will also be having scans in the future. In all that we do may we be extensions of your love, your desire, your sustenance, your will. May our lives, our works our sacrifices point to You. May our time on this earth guide others to You. May our sufferings and victories glorify your name and in all things, may we submit to your will, seek your counsel, and delight in your mercy.
I pray in celebration for the gifts You have given po18guy, the gift of prayer, of medicine, of healing and I pray for peace in his heart as he orders himself towards You while awaiting the results of his latest scan. “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace…”

I’m recovering myself from back surgery. I wish you a speedy recovery and pray you are restored to full health.

**Prayer After Surgery

Blessed Savior, I thank you that this operation is safely past, and now I rest in your abiding presence, relaxing every tension, releasing every care and anxiety, receiving more and more of your healing life into every part of my being. In moments of pain I turn to you for strength, in times of loneliness I feel your loving nearness. Grant that your life and love and joy may flow through me for the healing of others in your name. Amen.

God is Great, and our Great Physician! Our nearby hospital has a lovely motto that is posted everywhere. It was originally staffed by many good Sisters,:nun1: and still has some dedicated ones there. The motto reads: **“We dress the wound. God heals it.” ** I think this is a wonderful truth, don’t you?

You’re welcome and God bless you for your prayers. I love that motto and it is true: “We dress the wound. God heals it.” Truly, he is our Great Physician! My mother, God bless her, has some great sayings such as: “God made no man wiser than Himself”; “We should rely on the strength of God and not our own” and “Our lips should never get tired thanking and praising God”. When I tell her your motto, she is going to love it. I can already picture her saying, “That is so true and Amen to that”. Thank you again and God bless. 🙂
