I am an ex-SSPX’er. I post this as a warning.
I received much of my early catechesis with SSPX because it was one-on-one with a priest and because I was told by their secretary that SSPX was in full communion with Rome. I found out six months later, that they had lied to me and that they are not in communion with Rome after reading Ecclesia Dei.
From personal experience, I seriously warn people against SSPX. They began schismatics and are now bordering Sedevacantism, though they don’t state this publically.
Simply being in proximity to these people can be a spiritual danger, for they don’t let go of you easily. I had them calling my house and showing up at my workplace, asking why I left the group. I admire their zeal, but I felt they had stepped over the line when they started interfering in my personal and work life.
Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE the Tridentene Mass. I have no qualms with the Mass or the pre-Vatican II liturgy. I do however have problems with SSPX’s political views, and I did not like what they had to say about my Papa (who was at the time Pope John Paul II).
My main reason for leaving the group was this letter. I had no idea of its existence until I was six months into my catechesis with SSPX:

My advice would be this:
Steer clear of SSPX.
Watch the Mass online or at EWTN and make an act of Spiritual Communion. Then, go to the Communion Service to receive Our Lord for the sacramental communion.
St. Anne’s Cathedral has online Daily Mass and online Sunday Mass, and you can access it even if you only have dialup.
